The shadows of history haunt us.
The Independence Games finish on June 26th, so make sure you participate in them!
For those who have not heard yet, Clans Exar Kun and Satal Keto have been closed down and merged to form Clan Plagueis. I was here back when Clan Scholae Palatinae was closed down and merged with us, where I helped Nighthawk invent Oriens Obscurum. A sad day, seeing a Clan close - but its either that or let Satal Keto's next Consul be an Apprentice. Times are changing, and days are no longer as sunny as they once were. This is a disturbing move on many fronts, but ultimately, necessary. Rest in peace, Exar Kun and Satal Keto. I hope that our humble House may provide Plagueis a worthy opponent.
INDEPENDENCE GAMES
There has been some improvement since my last report, which is very good to see :) Eight people have registered, and six of them have competed. I would like to thank Alex, Kandos, Shadow Stalker, Kreth Drey and Ark Dowell for their efforts thus far, and I hope you will compete further. Remember that I will be quite generous with rewarding competitors - Dark Crosses for those who submit to only a couple of events, with promotions, Steel Crosses and even Grand Crosses to those who truly amaze me.

COMPETITIONS
No Clan monthly topics this month, but I'm still running something for the House. I'll be running regular monthly topics, and keeping them relatively simple in structure (usually one word topics that are fairly open to interpretation). This months topics are "competition" and "fate". I'd prefer prose (story) for the former and poetry for the later, but I'm flexible :) Send your submissions to me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] in .doc or .txt format and remember to include your ID line at the end so I can tell who you are :P
So far I have received one submission (thanks Alex :) which I hope means you are all concentrating on the Independence Games. The IGs are the big competition of the month; these are more like side meals. If you have to choose between the two, pick ze wagon wheel err pick the Independence Games.

Big congratulations go to Strategos for the past fortnight. He has earnt a few more Clusters of Fire (7), an Amethyst Crescent, and a Grand Cross of the Dark Side! Well done!
