What's Important...> The only real thing that comes to mind mind as far as truly important, is unity. Anything can be accomplished within the Brotherhood. We have an entire galaxy at our proverbial fingertips; we can literally do anything we want, with the only limitation being our imaginations. I'd like to remind people of this, because sometimes, I think it's forgotten that the Brotherhood is about the worlds of our creation, and the universe of our minds. Yes, this is a gaming club, but it is also a fictional reality club. I'll tell you what I mean by that. A gaming club is one that focuses on gaming, gaming excellence, taking on other clubs, and "pwning j00." A roleplaying club is one that focuses on roleplaying, stays in-character, utilizes stats purely for what can and cannot happen. A fictional reality club, as I think of ourselves, immerses in the world it resides in. It utilizes what it has to relive the experience. Some do it with matches of JO or whatever game, others do it with run-ons or matches in the ACC, while others still do it on IRC, hanging with friends they've made beyond the fiction.
So what does this have to do with you? I say this to remind everyone, there is more than the Shadow Academy tests to get you to Protector, and then... nothing. I do see examples of that sometimes. I see people get discouraged because a promotion doesn't come every 7-10 days, or they have to wait to see the rewards of their hard efforts. This organization is about so much more than getting to Dark Jedi Master as fast as you can. If it was simply a race to get DJM, we'd have random promotion tournaments, and let people battle it out to be the supreme champion, and holder of a shiny new promotion. There is more to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, and I would encourage you all to immerse yourself into it. Even people who do not consider themselves grand writers can get into fiction. If you're worried abotu your writing, ask a mate, or a leader for help fixing structure. Ask someone to critique your work, but ask them to be helpful about it, because you're worried it won't be any good. If nothing else, come talk to Telona, Korras, or myself. Believe it or not, I was a Krath for 4.5 years, and I love to write. Korras was a Krath upon joining, and only became an Obelisk when he earned the position of OHC. He gamed as a Krath, he made a lot of impressions upon people, and still has the ability to help shape young members. Telona is a wonderful, caring person, and is always willing to help people who seek her assistance.
There's always something more to behold, always something more to immerse yourself into. Play games. Meet new people. Join a run-on; you'd be surprised by some of the topics we've written on in the past. You have the ability to do what you want, because this is your universe, this is my universe, this is OUR universe. Don't feel limited by a lack of games, or a disinterest in writing. Expand yourself, be a part of the Brotherhood, and help shape the future of this club for everyone. Believe it or not, you have the potential to go places. I certainly didn't believe I'd ever be on the Dark Council. The peak of my aspirations was Quaestor, and I wanted to lead a successful House. I had fun in Gladius, first as her Aedile, then twice as her Quaestor. I enjoyed being PCON of Tarentum, as well as Left Hand of Justice, Jac's Praetor, a Trainer in the ACC, and then Consul of Tarentum. I enjoyed the opportunity to become Sith High Warrior when it was given to me, and I haven't regretted a day since. I regret that my school schedule has kept me away lately, and I apologize for it, but I do not regret my history in the Brotherhood. It has been long, it has been enjoyable, and I have made some wonderful friends. And you can do the same.
Join the fun. Have some fun. Share your fun.

What's Not...> There's not much lately that disinterests me. Personally, I think it's a great time to be in the Brotherhood, and I can't think of too much dull tedium to talk about. So, in an effort to at least make this section useful in this report, I declare everyone to be a Dark Jedi Master for 24 hours, all day Saturday. Enjoy your powers, they'll only last a day. Be evil, be awesome, kick some donkey. Heh.

What's Interesting...> I have been in the Brotherhood for over five years, and I have never been more excited to be in this Club. Why? We have a boatload of new options, and interesting stuff coming with Rebirth. For those who don't remember, Grand Master Jac Cotelin, our very own Dark Lord of the Sith and soon to be Mr. Married to Mrs. Jac, said the Rebirth site was going to be lauched on August 1st. That's coming quickly. There's going to be a lot of great things happening, and it's so close, I can taste it. In honor of that, and since you get to be DJMs for the day, you all get Star Destroyers for 24 hours, too. So, all day Saturday, you're DJMs who command Star Destroyers. Rain fire and death upon everyone who crosses your path.
So why am I giving 24-hour ships and promotions? Because I can, and I want to. It goes back to "this is our universe." In my universe, you all get to be DJMs and own Star Destroyers for a day. Write a story, participate in a run-on, draw a picture. Do whatever you want. Imagine yourself as the Dark Jedi Master who can kick all donkey, and destroy everything. Then, after Saturday is over, work for it. Picture what you did in your rise to power, and then make it happen. It's interesting to note what you can do, simply by "doing." Participate, be active, make yourselves the powerful DJM you get to be for 24 hours tomorrow (today for some).

What's Happening...> The ICTE is happening, Korras is having a Tournament, I'll likely have three rounds of trivia again tomorrow, and all sorts. Oh, and if you haven't been to three-round trivia lately, you should. Basically, Muz has been doing initial trivia, and then I invite people who want to, to do an additional, spontaneous round of questions on anything. We have fun, we learn new stuff, more opportunities for Legions of the Scholar to be earned. And yes, if you create 20 questions for trivia, you get a Legion of the Scholar awarded to you. Come do trivia. It happens after the meeting, at 1 PM Eastern Standard Time.

Anything Else...> I have a biology test on Monday, and a paper on Kant due Tuesday. I haven't studied, nor have I started on the paper. I am a procrastination expert. Heh. Oh, and by the way, I'd just like to say, Chi has a third nipple slightly above and to the left of his right nipple. He's a freak. Don't forget to tell him I told you to comment on it. :)

To Wrap it up...> If you haven't noticed, I decided to fill this report full of some nonsense. If you aren't sure, I hate doing reports. Why? Well, not everyone reads them. Not everyone concentrates on what's happening in the Brotherhood. Pay a little more attention. Be involved in your Clan, yoru Order, your universe. The Brotherhood is yours. I say that again -- the Brotherhood is YOURS. It exists because of you, it exists for you, it exists as a part of you. Involve yourself with it, and enjoy it. Find out what's happening on IRC. Participate in competitions, and you'd be surprised what you can earn. Yes, activity is a good sign, and gets promotions. I've seen a lot of promotions between Apprentice to Acolyte lately (among the Sith), some above that, but not too many above DJK. I want to see people promoted. I like knowing who is in my Order, as well as who is in the Krath, and the Obelisk. Get to know me. Joke with me. Talk with me. But don't ask me to cuddle, or I'll kick you out of bed. :P
Just have fun, everybody. The Brotherhood is a great place to be, and it's made great because of you. Welcome to my world. Welcome to our world.
