Greetings Disciples of Plagueis,

   Not quite my first full week here as your Proconsul, but already many things have happened on my watch. It is an exciting time to be a member of Clan Plagueis I tell you! Although the Independence Games have finished and the medals are being tallied, (we have done quite well so far, more on that later), we are gearing up for more smaller competitions to get us back in the groove before we launch into bigger and better things.  

   So, let¡¦s get down to the nitty gritty of the report for the week ending in July 2nd, 2005.  

A member of some standing has taken one more leap to his lightsaber. Xan is a constant force in this Clan, epitomizing the kind of member that we relish here. Having completed the tasks set forth to him by the Wisdom of Plagueis and his Master, Braecen Isradia, Xan has attained the rank of Jedi Hunter. Congratulations Xan, stand up and take a bow!

To House Bane

New era starts today! We are a new Clan, fogred from two great Clans. As such, we need to fill our archives with new and exciting happenings from around Plagueis.

Disciples of Plagueis are invited to write a short story (2+ pages) about an event that has taken place this month. This can be any number of things from Braecen stepping down and my appointment, your ascension in rank, or anything that interests you.

Hunt for the Quaestor!

Godo Nurok, the Quaestor of House Exar Kun has been kidnapped by Terrorists. It is up to the house to rescue him.

Third Level Crescent will be awarded. This is also one of Doku¡¦s trials before he gets promoted to that noble rank of Dark Jedi Knight, so let¡¦s give him a hand!

The ICTE takes place every Saturday in the IRC channel #outerrim. We play a variety of games including Jedi Academy, Jedi Outcast, X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter, X-Wing Alliance, and much more. Come on out and help us score some points for Plagueis and earn yourself some Clusters for your medal box. I myself will be waking up early to participate and get my share, so come on out and whack a PCON around!

Gaming nights take place every Tuesday, Thursday, and every OTHER Sunday (Tourney Day). To be eligible to play in the bi-weekly Sunday Tournaments, you must first qualify by playing at least one match in any weekday gaming night. Just find yourself a partner, play the game, report the scores and even earn shineys for your work! Don¡¦t have any of the online games? Come on over to #acc and test your mettle against some the fastest fingers in the Brotherhood in ACCLive!, hosted by DJK Kat Pridemore, OHC Korras, myself, and even the Combat Master gets in there and gets dirty! This is another way to qualify for the Sunday Tournament and can be done in less than 30 minutes. Order Chinese, fight to the death, eat. Repeat as necessary.

Each week I will highlight one member of the Clan that has stood out to me. This can be done a variety of ways from completing a nominal amount of Shadow Academy Courses in the course of a week, making yourself useful to the Clan in either fiction writing, graphics work, or overall hilarity on IRC. This Member of the Week will be chosen by me based on an anomaly of criteria that only exist in my head. Just make yourself noticed and you could be well on your way to becoming not only Member of the Week, but even perhaps the next Prodigy of Plagueis (name pending).

This week, a member has gone out their way to put his best foot forward to me and to the Clan as a whole. He was Satal Keto¡¦s member of the month as well, as has proven himself worthy to be named this week¡¦s Clan Member of the Week. Protector Ashura Konden has gone above and beyond, a constant presence on IRC< soaking up all he can from old fogies and putting it to use. Stand and be recognized, Ashura. You will notice that your name switches will Member of the Week, so you have your name in lights, for a week at least. ƒº

Well, I am just settling into my new digs. I busted down the wall that used to separate my office from Braecen¡¦s and just made one big office. It¡¦s huge in there now, lots of leg room. Letters and requests are piling up on the massive desk in the middle and I am just now completing a system to organize them fro easy review. But, I have much more exciting news to share with you folks.

The Master/Student Program, as some of you may know, is getting a bit of a facelift. As you may have noticed, the current Master/Student List is up on the Clan Site for all to see. Chi has been tirelessly coding a Trial approval system and editing system to make the Master¡¦s job of submitting Trials for approval so much easier. Another addition is the student¡¦s option to log in and check which Trials still need to be completed. It will truly revolutionize how we do things around here, streamlining the process to make it run smoother. We are still working out a few bugs with the system, but when it is finally complete, trust that you will hear from me.
