Hey there Guys,

       First of all yay my exams are over, now I can actually get some stuff done for this House such as work up a decent fiction for the House Comp, which pending the yes from Rekio I’ll hopefully be releasing before the end of the month. Its only going to be a short thing nicely sandwiched between the IGs and the Obelisk Right of Supremacy and as such will only probably last a couple of weeks at the most so you wont be completely comped out by the time the OROS comes along ;)   

Well the biggest bit of news that has happened in the past few weeks is that the IG Games have come and gone and Tar stormed in with a solid third place, I got to say good work to those of you who participated in the comps on behalf of not only Tarentum, but also Gladius. Rekio and Anshar will be awarding those who contributed to our placement so expect shiny medals or promotions some time soon.

Another great positive is that activity is seemingly on the up. This is great news and to be encouraged. Clusters of Fire are being awarded in greater numbers to a wider spread of people so instead of the usual people getting CFs week in week out we now have some new names in the list. Good work to you guys and remember Rebirth is less then a month away now and if you all want to have your own personalised fighters or uber weaponry then I encourage you to seek promotions and medals now so that when Rebirth comes along you will have a few extra credits to spend with pack pay for your higher rank and also the prestige that comes with increased ranks.

If you don’t have any games but would like to get the chance to earn some CFs then a new hall has been opened in the Antei Combat Centre (ACC) to cater to your very needs. The KHP Armed Hostilities is a hall that is open for the first week of every month and whoever wins gets a CF. Challenges are accepted in this hall until Wednesday and after that I assume you have a week to complete the battle. To those of you who are wanting a fight mail me, I’m free now time wise most of the times so baring work or unforeseen circumstances I should be able to conduct our battle in a timely manner, this is also encouragement to anyone who isn’t in the ACC to sign up and pass your training battle so we can get you sorted out with some medals and more then that that you can improve your writing skills and also just have fun.

That’s all the Gladius relevant news I can think of at this moment but seeing as I have changed the format of my reporting I feel this one might stretch for a few pages so I’ll try to keep big text chunks manageable and easy to read.

On the topic of changing format seeing as this will be a downloadable doc that you could (if you wanted to) keep on your comp for future reference I would be glad to hear your feedback on it. To tell the truth I kinda liked the idea Frosty had going with his HTML downloadable report, the formatting is easier to read in a word processor or Internet browser and also for bigger reports like this for people with Internet time constraints you can just download it and view it at your pleasure off-line. Anyway, if you prefer my reports in easy to delete emails or if you have firewalls that prevent downloading let me know and I’ll change things to make it easier for all.

House Champion June 2005

JH Frosty Romanae with 88 points

Congrats to Frosty on another victory in the House Champion league. He’s won the April, May and now June. So it looks like he’s our MPer to beat ;)

For those of you who don’t know about it this is basically kind of like the Premier League in UK Football (or soccer to those who play American Football) or the Bundesliga in Germany. Basically every medal has a specific point value ranging from 80 for a Golden Lightsaber to 2 points for a CF. So whilst earning tons of CFs might win the monthly championship earning a couple of the big ones will put your victory beyond doubt to. I am conferring with my technical team (that sounds very professional heh) to see if we can incorporate Shadow Academy Exams into it.

As you can see a bit of a runaway victory for our Aedile, so congrats to him and I hope pretty soon we’ll have a decent league going that’ll mean scores like my lovely 4 won’t have much of a chance of staying in the top 10.

Letters of Commendation

This is Gladius’s second method of tracking merit and if you’ve been reading Frosty’s reports you will be aware that when you reach a certain amount of LoCs you qualify for a medal. I must stress that this isn’t an automatic process and if you wish to receive a medal you must email us to tell us lest we think that you are holding out for the next level medal.

You can earn LoCs in many ways; Shadow Exam courses, MP games, ACC battles (for these if you could please just email me, Frosty, Sato or your BT leaders the URL then we can count them for you same also goes for any other kind of competition (such as KMTs (which you don’t actually have to be Krath to enter) simply CC or Forward us the email which you are sending in your submission with and we can award you for it.

A nice little comp this, design your own officer for Tar’s armed Forces, even if you don’t get a medal you still win in that most probably your characters will be used by the clan. So a win-win situation, cant have better then that can you :D

This is kinda like a job advertisement for a little project I have going. Last year I started a clan newsletter called the Tarentae Chronicles however as I was writing this mostly on my own when I came onto my last year in school I simply haven’t had the time or energy to write a whole newsletter on my own. So this is a plea for any budding reporters out there, every article you send me will get you 1 Letter of Commendation if I happen to use your article you’ll get another Letter of Commendation. Your articles can be of any length with a minimum of a 150 words and can be either humorous or serious in nature. If your interested mail me and I’ll discus things in more detail with you.

Closing

I’ve included a few docs to this report detailing the purpose of each ship in Tar’s fleet and which Jedi is attached to which ship in times of action. Not that this doc is old and as such doesn’t have our three new ships listed. Also I have added a separate one with an up to date listing of the Clan’s starfighter compliment. These should come in useful in fiction events for you.
