A few folks brought stuff to my attention some time ago, and now I'm ready for it if you want me to see if it will fly in it's entirety. This is what I am looking for:
The style/technique can be from real life, but you have to 'star wars' it up a bit. Terminology can remain, like "CQB/CQC" but references to real world items that don't translate over should be Lucas'ed.
Please 'write up' your style as it would appear in the Compendium, meaning: don't just tell me about it. Write it as a small instructional so when folks read it they'll know what it is. Remember to include techniques, movements and sequences - not too in depth, but enough to get the jist - no 'books' will be added to the compendium <!--emo&:P-->
If you want to redo some of the nonsense we have, go for it! Add to it, twist it up - whatever. We have myriad 'martial arts' that are going to be condensed, revamped and some of it executed at one point or another. If you want yer name on the credits, maybe you can beat us to it.
It would be really swell if, when/if you use RL stuff, you send me the links to where you got it. I just want to see where you're getting this stuff because I will most likely add a 'how to write it' section to each 'style/technique' and with the 'original' stuff, I can get a good idea.
Finally - have at it! Don't think something is too dumb, or 'someone else will do it', or he'll never take it 'cause you never know. Gimme what you got! If you don't, then guess what? It's my way or the highway - you lose the right to complain if you don't get involved <!--emo&:P--></td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5">I am also looking for Clan locations to add to the Venue Guide of the compendium. These will be locations specific to your Clan, and should follow this specific guideline: keep them generic. If an individual is rock solid in your Clan history, reference them all you want - what I don't want is a 'whim' venue based on a Summit member/Clan member that I have to change when/if they leave.</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5">Here's a news flash for some of you... I don't "own" the ACC, it's doesn't "belong" to me - it is just another facet of the DB, I am merely it's director. On that note - I am not a "Master" as far as what the term generally refers to in the DB. I am only a 'master' as it applies to being in charge of the ACC.</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5">There are a slew of reasons why some of you aren't getting promoted after a certain number of wins in the ACC. The reasons range from a messed up system that was diddled with too much, to battles being closed then reopened which puts a chink in the win/loss counts as well. If you have the correct number of wins (along with the proper percentage, at some levels) but have NOT been granted the next 'rank' - please seek myself or Halcyon to correct it for you.</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5">CHL is in the Finals. The battle is underway! (SWL Vessicant vs. KE Dark Sabre) Both finalists were asked if they would mind the 2nd CHL starting while their battle was completing - both requested that I wait. After all, the loser will be allowed in the next CHL - so they didn't want to get skipped - I can't blame them. FYI: All of the CHL's will be this long, there is no way to make them any quicker
even if each post is completed within a day (which is virtually impossible) instead of taking the given 3 (+/-), it would still take some time. The final battles will always be 14+2, which is insanely long anyway...but worthy of the Champions!</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="5">PCHL is in the Finals.
