Do you take pride in that small knit group that you are the strongest part of? Do you follow your chain of command, do you respect those appointed over you? It's okay to be selfish here - are you trying to make a name for yourself? What kind of name are you making; asset or waste?</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Are you a Battle Team Leader** - Do You instill confidence in your Battle Team, because you should be closer with them than anyone else in the Clan? Do you support your leaders and are you a good example to your Battle Team Members? Does even the 'mention' of a task from your QUA/AED get you jumping into action? Are you teaching your members what it means to be "House", to be "Clan" at this early stage in their career? Do you have the makings of a leader, or did you snatch up a position out of 'luck'? Does your QUA know what your Team is up to at any given time? Are you applying the wisdom of your leaders, or are you trying to do it on your own? Whose interest do you have in mind, yours or theirs? It should be a little of both - but the idea of the 'bigger picture' should be traipsing around in your head, is it? </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Are you a Quaestor/Aedile - Are you unwavering? Do you solidly stand behind your Clan Summit, publicly? What is your relationship like with your BTL's, do they trust you? Are you proud of them? Do you know of all your House members, by name, at least? Do your House members follow protocol or are they 'chain jumpers'? From the 'top' down, are your ranking members mentors or pious? How does your House see itself, do they identify with the House or do you have just a 'group of people' on the roster? Is your Clan Summit aware of everything that goes on in your House? Which is more important to you, the success of the House or the success of the Clan?</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Are you a Consul/Proconsul - Are you strong enough to do what's best for the Clan, or at least, try - no matter what the cost? Do you leave the running of Houses to your leaders, is your confidence in them strong enough? Do House Summits keep you informed of what's going on in their Houses? Do House/Battle Team members usurp their chains and bring issues to you? Do you honor those engagements, or do you redirect them to their leaders? Do you know your Clan members, or at least, what Houses their assigned to? Do you placate the 'veterans' or are you honestly seeking their knowledge and input? You are the reflection of your Clan, are you proud of what you see in that reflection?</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>*Non-positioned Veterans *- Are you buying time, or are you part of the Clan structure? Do you see the value and influence that you have the potential to display? Has the idea of 'Clan' slipped your mind, along with the truth that a Clan is only as strong as the lowest member? Do you nit-pick your Clan summit with triviality and an 'I can do it better' attitude, or are your intentions genuine? Are your complaints made public with the obvious intention of personal edification, or do you take them where they need to be? Is your hand outstretched to every lower ranking member, or do you wallow in your 'veteran' status? Do you support your House leaders if you are assigned to a House? Do you support the BTL if you are part of their Team? Are you the first person that people go to for guidance, or do they fear your reprisal? Are you there to help or hinder?</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>The ORoS will start in about 9 days, are we ready? We don't have to win - in fact, it would be better if we put that thought off to the side for a second and focus on just getting the job done. Arcona...everyone knew the name; it stood for dominance, arrogance and utter annihilation of anyone who crossed her path - but we've been written off. The waves of time have shifted tides, favoring the likes of Taldryan, Naga Sadow and the like. As if our grave had already begun to be filled in, we've been passed into the 'used to be's' like an aged professor.</td> </tr> <tr> <td>We will see members on the roster leave, run to ground that they feel is 'higher', its inevitable - don't be discouraged. True Arconans will cinch up their boot laces, grit their teeth and jump into the mire of battle - utterly satisfied with what 110% effort brings us - win, or lose!</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr>
