Greetings Exar Kun,

It's been another eventful week in the land of the free, namely House Exar Kun. We have a bit to get through including some interesting information on Rebirth, new Aedile, new Proconsul and Darth knows what else to add the the cocktail that is the Dark Brotherhood.

Perhaps equally importantly there has been a House wide AWOL check. In short, if you have not contact me, your in trouble :P Turn out was fairly good with around 50% of the Clan responding to my calls. More on that later!

AND FOUND!

It was incredibly important to me that we find a replacement from within our own ranks, afterall who understands the needs of our members then you guys and gals. In the end it proved to be a very difficult choice, three of you stepped forward all expressing an interest in the position and my personal thanks goes out to each one.

The most interesting application came from one of our newer members, Acolyte Kitiaro Bloodbane. An excellent application, had you a touch more experience and had more chance to demonstrate activity things could well have been different.

This left two contenders, Starrett and Schisca. These two had our summit in quite a quandry as to who it should be. In the end, we decided that the best way to determine who was the most appropriate would be a mock or false Aedile report. Three days from the close of applications we had finally reached a decison. The new Aedile of House Exar Kun is none other than Schisca. Congratulations, I am putting a lot of faith in you and expectations are indeed high, I'm sure you wont let us down.

However Starrett also but in a lot of hard work, and I am appointing him to Battleteam Leader. Congratulations.

Schisca will be one of the first port of calls if you need anything, other than of course Rydack our House Envoy. He will also be responsible for overseeing and introducing competitions to this House as well as regular reports. Starrett I am sure will ready his 'troops' for the Battleteam competitions currently playing out. Good luck to both of you.

To be more accurate it's not as such a competition, more a project I wish to put together. In short I need a team willing to build House Exar Kun a web site. Nothing fancy, nothing too flash, unless of course you want to? I am look for people to code the site, create the graphics and even right a little fiction for it. All those who contribute will be rewarded for their work. If you fit any of those roles or even think you can bring something new to the project then please get in touch, love to hear from you.

I really hate doing AWOL checks, it's not a pleasent thing removing people from the House roster but sometimes our members really do dissapear without a trace. Just under half our number have responded to my AWOL check. I thank each and every one of you for that. Those of you who haven't responded, I will be contacting you personally to see if your still interested in remaining. No hard feelings if you choose to leave or transfer out to another Clan. Of course if you do want to remain then please do get in touch, I would hate the idea of removing you from a roster when you in actual fact wanted to stay. If none of you hear from me, then you are safe and need make no further action. In my next report I will have the new updated roster for you all.

Well, it was a struggle but it appears we seized victory in Round 2, however I have to be fair and recognise Drodik and Brijha. They did incredibly well in Round 2 and have gone off to bolster the other Houses. So their contribution in future will be missed. It seems that being both members were in House Exar Kun at the time of their contribution their scores have been counted as ours.

Round 3 in now officially over, with Round 4 now taking place! So to our battleteam members, get out their and kick some HSK and HB ass!

Rydack, man or machine?

Rydack has had a busy week, he is now a member of the Isradia family, an accompishment in itself but now it appears he has finally earnt his Lightsaber. A rare and very special honor. Rydack has been in the Dark Brotherhood a relatively short amount of time and he has been an incredible boon to Clan Plagueis. Onbehalf of the House Exar Kun WELL DONE!

Lusankya's Server No More!

Yes, you read correctly, Lusankya has had to take the Server down during his educational time, for which we wish him the greatest of luck. Here's his own words:

Hello Plagueis. Well, its that time of the year again..time to return to college at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Unfortunately, the computer that hosts <st1:personname w:st="on">Lusankya/st1:personnames JA+ Server is coming with me to college and I am unable to host a server to the outside world from within the Local Area Network at NJIT. However, the server will be back up for December and January as well as next summer, from early May to early September. The server will be shutting down sometime tomorrow, so until the server is up again after this semester ends, Id advise using the <st1:place

w:st="on">Academy server or whatever else is available. Sorry for the inconvenience..if only I had the money to build another computer competent enough to host a gaming server to stay here year round!!!

This House has seen our Aedile change as often as my socks (and believe me I am very fussy about my socks) and our Honours List has been a little neglected as of late. To compensate for that, I am covering all the changes for the last couple of weeks here, including people who have left, joined, earnt and won. It's so easy to have your hard work and dedication overlooked, so accept my apologies and also my congratulations.

Nothing especially humerous or witty this week unfortunately, I have been chained to the Office at work and am thoroughly exhausted. It's only a small family business, with three office staff. Of course when one of those dissappears on some crazy crusade that leaves the remaining two to pick up the pieces. Incidently our leaver decided to grab her camping gear and shoot off to some cold wet field in some non descript part of the country. Remember this in Great Britain or the UK, and the weather is never guaranteed to be anything, except wet. I hope she packed her rubber dingy.

Of course, take an office with just one person, yes you guessed it just me! And your inviting a calamity of biblical preportions. Trying manage all the computer systems, admin, accounts and the phones is a challange to say the least. Customers can of course be your best friend and your most deadliest enemy! And believe me this week they were the latter. I am quite certain they phone at the most inconvieniant times deliberately, normally when I am trying to do something very tricky on the computer of binding a numberplate. Curse them!

On a slightly different note, by wife to be, cooked up a storm over the weekend. I would tell you what it was but shes got to the stage now where if you can even pronounce one incrediant in the meal, you would be considered a world class chef! Of course I recieve the glorious benefits of this, so I for one am not complaining. However she now wants to take it to a whole new level, grow our own fruit and veg! Any growers out there, drop me a line :P

Information: The Consul needs paintings for his walls. Your job will be to search the

internet using any means you have available to you to find Lucien 10 pieces of

artwork to either hang on his walls or stand in his office. These can be images

of anything or sculptures of anything. Keep the images clean though, nothing

over PG-13. The use of expressly copyrighted images is forbidden.

Competition: Current Events- August '05

For: Clan Plagueis

Information: As a new clan forged from two different pasts, our struggle for a individual

Clan Identy has become our primary focus. As such, we need to fill our archives

with interesting and historical data of Plagueis, its Houses, and its

membership.

Disciples of Plagueis are asked to write a one and a half to two page (1.5-2 pgs) story of the recent events within and surrounding the Clan. Time Frame can be any from Braecen's and Chi-Long's leaving, to any event before August 31st. Be creative and Have Fun!!

Information: Information has been 'received' that a group of young Jedi Knights have

uncovered a book filled with ancient Krath rituals previously unknown. The Krath

High Priestess has given the order for anyone willing to go to Duxn and retrieve

this book from the tomb of Freedon Nadd. You may go by yourself or with a team

of up to three people. Expect to encounter poor conditions and some uptight Jedi

Knights. Bring back that book at all costs.

What a week, hopefully things will become a bit more stable over the coming weeks, but rather than harp on about this and that I will instead focus on a VERY interesting little document available from the Dark Brotherhood web site. It refers to Project Rebirth. A whole not spin on the Brotherhood as it is today, it includes a whole host of changes to the system and a wealth of new options. Its huge document but well worth the red. Some of the changes we hope to see include a payment system. Each member gets paid a monthly wage which can be used to buy equipment, weapons, armour and even ships and other modes of transport. Furthermore if you hold any positions, perhaps your a member of the Dark Council, or even a Quaestor or Aedile you will given an additional boost in your monthly wage. But this is just the tip of a VERY big iceburg. Get the chance, go take a look:
