COMMANDERLY RAMBLINGS

Wow! What a week for Sapphire. You guys get a new Commander (me, for those who don't yet know), I find my inbox flooded (more than usual) and the squad gets so many medals I'm thinking about buying shares in Brasso. If you guys can keep this up, which I know you can, then we're surely gonna shred the opposition in the ORoS. Which brings me nicely to the first part of this week's report.

ORoS PARTICIPATION

As you all should be aware, participation in th ORoS is now mandatory. Not everyone is able to participate in the gaming side of things (myself included) but Korras has come with a nice little fiction event. 2 page minimum, I'm sure everybody can handle that. So far, though, only Raidoner has submitted. I hope the rest of you have been gaming coz if you haven't submitted to an event by the end of the week you'll be transferred to Rogue status. I'm not sure about you guys but I don't want to be in charge of an empty Battleteam by the weekend. Sapphire has a reputation as one the best BTs in the brotherhood, don't let that slip away from us.

A NEW BEGINNING?

What with rebirth's roleplaying system edging ever nearer I thought it was about time to enrich Sapphire Squadron's fictional background. I aim to do this by running a series of competitions, consisting mainly of fiction, graphics or combined events. I'm keeping details close to my chest for just now but expect more news on this after ORoS. The reason I'm waiting is coz right now ORoS should be everyone's top priority.

So that's my first week on the job. It's been... educational. Seriously though, you guys are great and I'm proud to be leading the most bad assed BT in the DB. One last word on ORoS. I can't stress how important this is. If your submitting to the gaming events that's great but please, if you can, submit to the fiction event as well. Two pages should take you no more than a half hour and we need these points. CNS has gotta dominate.
