Greetings everyone, we have seen quite a busy week go by, I’ve got a lot to report on, so here we go.

We have gained four new members this week, I would like everyone to take a moment to welcome Dark Jedi Master Khameir Sarin, Priest Mell Kerrigan, Apprentice Okan Farrell Roda, and Apprentice Jacen Lazarus into the House. Good to have you with us guys!

In case you haven’t heard, any requests for transfers between Clans will be denied until the Obelisk RoS is over, so anyone wishing to transfer to a different Clan will have to wait a while.

The HSK AWOL Check is over! I have compiled the results, and handed them over to the Clan Summit, so anyone who failed to respond to my call is officially out of luck, and will have to request a transfer back into the Clan.

In case you haven’t heard, our recently returned OT Warhunter Arawn has taken up the position of Satal Keto Envoy, filling the spot left by KAP Adam Anderson as he takes over the Clan Envoy position. Congratulations to both Warhunter and Adam, I am confident our new recruits will be in good hands, and look forward to continuing to work with you both.

On a related note, Adam is taking over the Clan Envoy position due to our very own Xen`Culo Harzirto stepping down due to personal reasons. I would like to thank Xen for all his hard work as Plagueis’ Envoy, his contributions to the betterment of the Clan will not be forgotten.

Our Consul Lucien has started a thread on the Clan MBs intended to allow you all to submit ideas for the names of each ship, if your idea gets picked, you receive a Dark Cross! You can fing the topic here

Esca and Lucien have been working very hard on a page for the Plagueis website that would allow any member to easily find, get the details for, and submit to all available competitions. I’m happy to say their work paid off, the page is up and fully functional, so all Clan, House, and Battleteam competition submissions need to be sent through the new page. ** Obelisk Rite of Supremacy **</FONT COLOR=RED>

The Obelisk High Commander has released an explanation of a few things which have apparently been confusing members, the release is as follows:

The raw score is the score you get for the playing of games, without any other modifications. Yes, a win scores more then a loss here.

The way Hexes are captured, is done by taking the raw score of points. This I shall name X here, for now. X is devided by the number of people in the clan, and the result of that divided by the total amount of hexes attacked by all clans. The result of that I will name Y.

I take the average of the Y’s of all clans, and set that to be 100%. All Y’s are then changed to %’s. If it’s above 100%, your clan gains the sectors under attack. If it is below, you get that % added to the amount of % you already have, until the total is above 100%.

Note that the amount of % displayed applies to all sectors your clan is attacking, it is not spread over them, it simply means they captured so many percentages of all those sectors.

Moving on to attacking other clans. I will do this with an example. If your clan is attacking 6 sectors, one of which another clan, 1/6th of your raw score will go there. There will be no modifiers applied to this. If your clan attacks 4 sectors, 1/4th will go there, etc.

The same is done for the defender. Note, if you are attacking a clan, that clan will be informed, so they can arrange a defense.

These scores are then compared. If the attacker scores more points then the defender, the attacker takes that % of the defenders sector. If the defender wins, nothing happens. Yes, defending is easier. Yes, the defending clan is expected to be dug in. and yes, ACC will be used here. And no, you can not attack starting hexes. I know you’d like to, though. :P

Finally, who wins? The one with the highest raw score. Who gets to pick more vehicles? Depends. Placing with raw points gives an amount of points. Hexes on the map score bonuses. 1st through 3rd with raw points get something special. And everything will be worth the effort, I guarantee.

Just two more days left in the Strange Signal run-on, time for all the participants to get their end posts in. I only hope the participants had as much fun competing as I had watching them. I couldn’t be happier with the way it went, we met some new faces, and got to witness some excellent writing from a few surprising members. As a new clan forged from two different pasts, our struggle for a individual Clan Identy has become our primary focus. As such, we need to fill our archives with interesting and historical data of Plagueis, its Houses, and its membership.

Disciples of Plagueis are asked to write a one and a half to two page (1.5-2 pgs) story of the recent events within and surrounding the Clan. This could be about any Summit changes or anything that has caught your eye. Must be an event before September 30th.

Every Tuesday and Thursday the DB sponsers an open gaming event in channel <font color="RED">#GMRG</FONT COLOR=RED> on the Undernet IRC Server. Platforms involved are JO/JA/Xvt/XWA/SWGB, etc. You earn a Cluster of Fire for every win and one for every three losses! This leads up to the Inter-Club Training Event (or ICTE for short), which is hosted every Saturday in <font color="RED">#outerrim</FONT COLOR=RED>. In this event you will play not only fellow DB'ers but gamers from other clubs! Also, by gaming in any of these functions, you will qualify to participate in the bi-weekly Sunday Tournament! Both the House and Clan websites have a section for Member Archives, used to display the various works from our members, for everyone to see. The Clan archives are down at the moment, but the House archives are being compiled as we speak. Anyone can submit works, of fiction or graphics, at any time. If anyone has work they would like to see placed in the archives, please send them to me or Arso, and we’ll make sure to get them in there.
