YES! 2 reports in 20 days. I'm a rock star!
Life is going along smoothly, I guess. Reading for school sucks, but well, I gotta do it. I've been keeping up with things, mostly. I'm like 30 pages behind in one class, but I'll get caught up tonight. For the most part, classes are just becoming a pain in the ass now. They say in law school, the first year they scare you to death, the second year they work you to death, and the third year they bore you to death. I'm not dead yet, but I can see why the saying is there.
I had a few interviews for internships. None of them were places I really wanted to work, but we'll see if I get any offers that are good.
Married life rocks.

It's amazing what you find out about the club when certain people leave due to RL or just quit altogether. There's always people to step in and take over, but a lot of times, man, it's chaos until then.
Just this week we are learning how important Mav and Yacko have been and are to this club. Mav is on LoA, and Yacko's computer is fried. With that, we've been runnoing around trying to fill their shoes. The thing is, especially with Mav, there was so much that he did that I didn't even contemplate. Mav always dealt with IRC issues that arose, always kept me in the loop about certain things and generally had a calming trait to him. When he's not around, some of that gets lost, and in my world, the IRC problems normally perpetuate before I get to know about them.
I think that this just goes to show even more how projects like the DC handbooks are going to help a lot in the future. I rely so much on say, Spears, that if he left today, I would have to work quite hard to figure out what I would need to do to run his SA. Since he is writing it all down for me -- that will make it much easier should something come up unexpectedly.
This is a lesson i have been gradually learning, and I hope the clans pick up on it. Recently, Rekio spoke of writing down a lot of stuff about Tarentum into a manual of theirs. I think it's a great idea -- otherwise things just tend to get lost.
Communication is the key to this club, and documentation is a big, big part of that.

This past week I went through Pyralis's rough Draft of the "Aquiring New Members" addendum. He has made the necessary changes, written a few more sections and sent it back my way. I'll have it reviewed and out the door to Alanna for editing soon enough. Pyr and I will then start on # 4.
I am looking for ways to increase the visibility of the Alacrity. Any suggestions are welcome.

Just a quick update: I have discussed some changes with Yacko and sent the (hopefully) final revision back to the DC for review. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read below:
From last week:
Immediately after Chi left due to some deep-sewn problems in out Justice system, we took a long look at the way we were doing things and decided that some needed reworking.
Mav, Pyralis and I came up with a proposal and sent it to the Dark Summit. The members have commented and I have come back at them with a few revisions. We are getting close to finding common ground on the end game in this. Yacko has just passed his comments by me, and I'm going to make some (hopefully) final revisions to the proposal and send it out to the DC one last time.
Among the things discussed in the proposal are: suspensions of member access, repeat offenders, jury/panel size and procedures, appeals, and some other random things.
I'll keep you all updated on the progress. It will all be put into the Dark Covenant before the final release of that.

Just a quick update on Mav -- he's still on LoA for the time being. Things are getting better, but he still needs some RL focus. We're not sure how much longer he will be away, so we're planning accordingly on his duties anyway.
So, while Mav is on LoA, his Praetor, Kir Katarn, and my Praetor, Pyralis will be handling a lot of his duties. I will be sending them some of the different projects, but for the most part, consider them Mav when you need something via IRC. They will either give you an answer or get ahold of me to resolve something.
I'll keep you all updated as time moves on with this. Again, though, Kir and Pyralis are operating with Mav's authority for the time being.

Just an update: The currently handbooks are GM, MAA, SHW, KHP, OHC, KCB. Thanks to BF for getting his done this week.
For information on the project: Last week I sent out to the Dark Council the second set of assignments for the position Handbooks. If you don't know, each Dark Council member has been working to create a handbook that describes their position and its duties in order to help with the eventual transition to someone else. A few are finished, but most of them have been half-way done since July. We are hoping to get these done all within the month so we can make them all public. I'll keep an update running on those.

For those of you who have been wondering, we are making progress on the DSC. Trev has been working hard to write out the new fictional version. He sent me recently a zip file that contained 1.3 megabytes worth of text for me to review. Things are looking good there. We should have some excerpts for you by this time next week.
On the coding front, I put together an algorithm that will let us do the paging for the new DSC layout, as well as images to the page. That was holding us back for a while, but it's good now.
Finally, Pyr has made some very very necessary changes to the old DSC at my request. Mainly, he got rid of some stuff that was just so out-of-date it was scary (aka, references to the Chancellor).
