As far as the ACC is concerned, battles will be allowed to continue and be completed, but I believe challenging has been stopped, or will be cut off shortly.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>The September Jamboree is over! The ACCLive! system will resume it's normal operation. Remember, ACCLive! does NOT run during the ICTE (if you're one of the ones that like to complain about that, just think of what ICTE stands for and you'll give yourself the reason :P).</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> The September Jamboree saw a couple of things that were good for the Centre, 1) ACCLive! crossed the 100 battles mark, which is enough for me to consider it "out of trial" no matter how much activity it gets, 2) Two more recipients of weapons from the ACC Armory!
With the most played battles of the Jamboree and the most wins, the competition winner is: Guardian Siyavash "Sakido" Mifune from CNS, congratulations! </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> The Second CHL will start Monday Morning!</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> The ACC Compendium suffered a slight blow a couple of weeks ago. The file that replaced it is an "older" version that creates some inconsistencies between the Compendium and the Rules. In cases where contradictions may exist, the ACC Rules take precedence.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>
</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>His work in the ACC is only a part of the reason it was awarded, but to me - it was obviously the most important part :P DA Corran Halcyon "Halc" Arconae - Congratulations on your Emerald Dagger and a huge thanks from the ACC staff, for your work here, and all that you do for the Brotherhood!!</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>Welcome SW Warhunter to the ACC staff as an ACCLive! I take "applications" so mails saying "I'd like to apply..." or "I'd like to be a part of the staff..." are not applications. Most times I say "okay, go ahead..." "that's nice..." or "send an app...". No matter how much people want to disagree or argue, these staff positions are "jobs" in the DB. Most of you wouldn't roll up to the HM application process with "I'd like to be HM..." and no application - well, some of you could pull that off, hehe. Basically, if you can't tell me why I should hire you, what good you'd be to the Centre and what experience you have that would be valuable - don't apply!**</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>
</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>- Team event in the works as a precursor to "The Derelict Code". It won't be related to the co-op, and will only be geared to get people used to writing as a team.</td> </tr> <tr> <td>- The cooperative competition has finally been given a title: "The Derelict Code" and is getting closer to release!</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>
</td> </tr> <tr> <td>In the coming weeks, some of the aspect changes that were going to take place post-rebirth will be addressed in the ACC. This will include changes to a few things like Force Power usage. I was going to wait until after rebirth, but then decided that combatants would be better off getting to know some of the systems now. The "new" compendium will not be going up yet, so any adjustments that require "directions" or "clarification" will be placed in the ACC section of the DB Forum.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>
</td> </tr> <tr> <td>"Official Complaints". The ACC has always held to an understanding that battles can be closed at ANY TIME due to the writing of things deemed impossible by a Judge. This is sketchy ground, but more often than not it is related to a breech of the Rules of the Centre in a battle. This could be anything from the use of Clan/Order Powers to inappropriate weaponry. I have not removed this 'ages old' understanding - but it does require a thing or two. </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>1) First of all, you must file an official complaint DURING the battle, when the incident occurs - BEFORE you post again. Continuing the battle tells us that you either a) didn't notice the infraction or b) didn't care at the time.</td> </tr> <tr> <td>2) If the battle is during a competition that has a time limit - the time limit may be waived based on when the "Official Complaint" was rendered. </td> </tr> <tr> <td>3) What is an "Official Complaint"? An Official Complaint is a mail sent to the CM and DCM, CC'd to your opponent and includes the following: Your ID line, Your opponent's ID line, a link to the battle, the specific infraction, what rule/guidance it violates from either the ACC Rules or Compendium and the action that you want taken. </td> </tr> <tr> <td>4) Your opponent will have the opportunity to "explain" their side of things, but that opportunity has a short window of 24 hours from the Official Complaint mail. Unfortunately, "I didn't know" is not an excuse that will be looked at too seriously - especially if you are above the rank of Seeker.</td> </tr> <tr> <td>5) Actions: You MAY request disqualification of your opponent. Do not be afraid of looking like an a*hole, the rules/guidance are there to protect the individuals that follow them. You're Official Complaint may also be pointing out an infraction so we know it's there - but that's a little dumb. If it's a DQ worthy item, why would you want to tell us about it and then have to keep writing the battle, especially when you could basically have an "instant win"?</td> </tr> <tr> <td>6)* The decision will be rendered as quickly as possible so the battle can continue or be closed. If the Official Complaint is deemed viable, the match win will go to the opponent of the individual disqualified. If the Official Complaint turns out to be a misunderstanding of the individual citing the infraction, the battle will continue with no further action.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>So, why am I addressing this? Because if you are not filing an Official Complaint you a) shouldn't be complaining about it on IRC or in e-mail if you aren't willing to do anything about it, b) lose the right to 'b*tch' about the battle's outcome if it didn't turn out the way you wanted it to or hoped it would. Yes, Judges miss stuff - we're friggin human :P Official Complaints get disseminated through the staff, so everyone knows - complaining about it on IRC only gets as far as the folks who are there to read it and they might not be the ones judging the battle :) The ONLY individuals that have the right to render an "official" disqualification, in the case of "regular" ACC battles, are the CM and DCM.</td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" width="90%" bordercolorlight="#1B1B1B" bordercolordark="#000000" id="table2"> <tr> <td>DA Dalthid</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Combat Master</td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>
