Final Aedile of Tridens report, October 24th 2005

MERLANCE's corner

As you have heard, I am no longer the Aedile. While, as soon as I send this email I will no longer be Aedile. The reasons for this are varied and are equally complicated, so I will spare you a bunch of incomprehensible jargon and technical mumbo jumbo and leave it at the fact that due to reasons beyond my control, I am no longer able to dedicate ample time to overseeing my duties as Aedile. I doubt many of you are sorry to see me go, but the best thing I can say is that I did my best even though it was never enough.

Furthermore, as this is my last report, I suppose I should have a list of people to thank for assistance in various tasks that I performed as AED...

Rekio - He made me aware that you have to rattle some cages now and again to make sure the old men in leadership positions stay up to date. That, and he gave me some additional stuff to do to keep me occupied.

Anshar - He made me realize stuff about my potential and stuff

Bloodfyre - He made me briefly consider the possibility that not everyone was out to get me.

Oberst - He helped me devise my system for awarding people for tournament participation.

Silent Jay - hes my apprentice, he gives me the oppurtunity to pass my legacy on to create a new nation, conceived in tyranny, and dedicated to the prospect that all apprentices are created evil.

smoke20 (Ma'ar) - He was around to do the stuff that I didn't do, or maybe it was the other way around.

Rage - He made me realize that not everyone is truly as they seem. Not that I care, of course. I just want to make that clear. For clarification, read my notes on Bloodfyre above.

If I didn't mention you, it's because of oversight, or in the case of two particular people I have nothing to say about or to them. You know who you are; you're dead to me.

In other news...

Kaine is no longer Herald as he has been replaced by Cyris, GMRG bracket stuff continues, Episode III will be released next week along with Battlefront, and gnomes are just plain annoying.

So, if you people read this last part of my report, you usually notice that I leave some final words, usually something random or an altered quote of some sort. I guess the what I'm trying to say is despite the fact that nobody liked or respected me, I still had a good run as AED. Regardless, you won't have MERLANCE to kick around anymore.
