Hi there guys
Well my first week as PCON is at an end and I have to say its been a
week I enjoyed. Challenging and a tad frustrating at times but if
things are too easy they aren't worth having as my mother always says.
Anyhow enough of the MotherWelsh philosophy :P
As weeks go activity has been great in the Clan I have to admit I was
initially surprised by the sheer amount of medals that have been
awarded to you guys. I take my hat of to you. It's one of the things
that make this Clan a great place to be, we might have our moments but
then who doesn't? At the end of the day we've all been friends and
worked well together for varying periods of time so please don't let a
difference of opinion split us apart.
Other stuff that's been happening recently as Anshar mentioned is
Smoke being awarded a Sapphire blade. Congrats Smoke, you're a great
guy and you deserve it for all the work you put into Tridens. Drinks
for him at the Ale Pond!!!!!
I'd also like to thank each of you who replied to my email last week
regarding the Master/Apprentice scheme and I'm happy with the number
of active pairings we already have and also the interest shown by many
members both not only to put aside some of their time and train
members in things but also in the people who wish to learn about the
DB and practise gaming. Kudos to you peeps.
Something to look forward to is a Clan run on starting tomorrow. For
those of you who are new here or to the Club this is basically
something on the Forums in which people take time to post to a story
outline to flesh out the story and hopefully come to a happy ending
(not a good explanation but I don't want to put the SA graders out of
business ;) http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/shadowacademy/sa/index.html
there's a run on exam there and even if you only read the course notes
and forgo doing the actual exam you should have a decent grounding in
the subject) For those of you who were here for the last major Run-on
i.e Sword's Sheath you'll know that rewards will be handed out to
participants. So on Friday when this run-on is released go out and
post some good posts so you can make some work for Anshar and I
reccing medals!!!! :D
Circle audit going on as well which will see some changes happening I
guess. This audit will attempt to determine how viable it is to keep a
circle running I,e do you have enough numbers and do you do comps on a
regular enough basis etc and from the mail threads I can see that
there's some constructive work going on with getting these circles
back to peak efficiency.
I think that's all I got for this week, attached you'll find a excel
spreadsheet with all the medals everyone's earned in it. So all it
leaves me with to say is I hope everyone enjoys there week and stays
safe, especially any of us who'll be going out on November 5th to
celebrate Guy Fawks Night. Stay safe around those fireworks and hope
that you'll all be safe and sound to get my next report (and no that
isn't an incentive to start throwing fireworks at me ;))
Take care people
Welsh
