Hi there everyone

It’s been a hectic week in RL for me, heck this is one of the first times I’ve been on my own comp at home lol. University is hard work, plenty of reading and stuff to do none of it “must-turn-the-page-to-find-out-what-happens-next” exciting. On the plus side we get plenty of time to do the stuff so everything balances out nicely.

DB wise things are still going at a breathtaking pace. Activity is high but not just confined to certain key members, there’s a spread to the medals awarded which is excellent. There are all the regular culprits to get insane numbers of medals, ICTE and gaming evenings for those of you inclined towards gaming. For those of you who prefer writing there are the MT’s which the KHP kindly runs. House level Arche and Frosty all have comps running.

On a Clan level there is of course the Obsidian Blade run-on. Whilst I encourage everyone to post in this if they can I can’t stress how important it is to read the emails Anshar has sent out relating to them, we need to keep this thing as “realistic” as possible so everyone can have fun and enjoy it. Sure going out and killing half the Republic Army on your own sounds all cool and fine to write but even with the Force is it possible? Answer is no, perhaps watching ol’ Anakin Skywalker slaughtering through thousands of battle droids has given you an idea that the Force is all powerful well it isn’t, just think of all those Jedi who died during the films, Geonosian arena in EP2, Order 66 in EP 3 and for those of you who read the books the dozens who were killed during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy. So to cap this particular paragraph of; post, keep it realistic, your part of a team work together as one and no going on Jedi hunts they will whup you, Mr Skywalker Jr wouldn’t entrust a retrieval of a uber Dark Side artefact to a bunch of Padawans so expect any Jedi you encounter to be battle seasoned Knights and perhaps even Masters. A quick geek fact for you, the time we are in with the DB the Republic and the Imperials have signed a peace treaty so the Republic will have been able to dispatch a lot of materiel to this system.

Medals for the past week will be included in a attached Excel document and I’d also like to say a big yay to everyone who passed SA courses.

I’d like to finish this report on a sombre note. While we’re all running around pretending to be soldiers and pilots its hard to think about those who did/do the job for real. Tomorrow marks the 87th anniversary of the end of World War I, supposedly the War to end all Wars. Irregardless of your stand on war and such things I think it’s only fitting that you spend just a few seconds thinking of the ultimate sacrifice these man made, be they Allied, German, Austria Hungry or any other country. They fought for their countries and sacrificed a future so that others could live in peace and prosperity.
