Hey Guys,

   So this has been a pretty exciting week in the Brotherhood, especially the last half. The first half came with an email from our QUA, excited that we have all of our leadership positions filled and moving us even more constantly forward toward higher activity and hightened achievement. I second my friend Demos in the endeavor and agree that we can all step up to really make a huge difference in this house. I'm sure more will be coming along the way, and we'll all look forward to the new happenings abound.  





   The DC amalgamation has been, of course, the big news of the week. You might not think it affects you that much, but it really does. Any change in the structure of the DC definitely has a trickle-down effect on the rest of the club. I definitely recommend reading through the list of duties of each DC member and reading about the changes in depth. This will especially help if you need assistance in an area or have an idea for something but aren't quite sure who to go to. Those thousands of pages have that info in there somewhere. It really is a good read, and I only caught two grammar errors in the whole thing, so Nice!

Competitions

A very important section of the email yet again. There are two competitions right now that I am pushing with full force. Obviously, we have the clan comp going on. This week, it's a solid week of fast-paced, jam-packed gaming. The reults are due Saturday with the same rules as the first round applying. There is also a second writing comp out for the second stage. Both of these comp's details are listed in the Competitions section of the DB website. I encourage you all to participate. participation is what makes competition competition and winners legitimate.

The second competition is the DB-wide comp that Zekk is running. Any game imaginable is fair game (I played him in Texas Hold'em last night) and it is scored by wins. There is also a clan prize in the end for competition. I would love to see Tarentum get this prize and stay true to our roots of dominance.

There has been a good bit of activity this week, and I've been happy to see my inbox consistantly getting something about it. Here's the activity I've received notice about.

Shadow Academy Exams

I am a huge proponent of SA exams. I think they're one of the best programs we've got in the DB. On top of this, our clan has a special connection with the SA with the HM and P:HM both being Tarentae. I feel that should only increases our desire for further knowledge. Knowledge is power, right? And that's what we Dark Jedi are all about. Here's the exams passed.

PRT Melkor - passed: Conflict Mediation, Sith ISET, Sith ESET, Sith Tactics, and Dark Meditation. Great job!

APP Janus Lee - passed: ACC Initatiates, and Dark Meditation. Great job! The early activity already shows good signs from you. I'm excited.

DJK JKast - passed: HTML Basics, Photoshop Basics, and Safe Computing.

Awesome stuff, guys. Also, I think there are some CoF's that were earned this week that just haven't been awarded yet. Good job in advance.

Concluding Comments

First, I just want to say again how much I'm enjoying this AED position and how great it is to be active on IRC again meeting and talking to people and helping this House, Clan, and Brotherhood in any way I can.

I'm really excited about the increasing level of activity, but trust me, we still have a long way to go if we want to look like houses did whenever I was really active a couple of years or so ago. I want to get back there, and trust me again, if everyone knew what it was like to be in a place that active, everyone would be working even harder than we are now to get there. It's an exciting feeling and something that we should all strive for. Get out there and participate in the comps, influence others to, ask other people for matches ACTIVELY, and serve the House, Clan, and Brotherhood with dignity.
