House Happenings:

Promotion Guidelines, Emails, and Head Stomping: All of you from the rank of Apprentice to the rank of Acolyte are going to be receiving individual emails from myself, telling you what you can do in your current situation to gain promotions.

Anshar has put out guidelines, but as your AED and Envoy I owe it to you all to give you that extra special personal touch, because as your (not so) friendly Aedile¡KI care :P

Also for you knuckle heads who have sat at APP and NOV for like MONTHS at a time (you know who you are :P), without putting forth any effort, I¡¦m going to begin recommending AWOLing to Frosty regardless of checks¡Kso don¡¦t say you were caught unaware. If you need to take time away for a Leave of Absence LET THE SUMMIT KNOW, it¡¦s one reason we exist.

AED¡¦s Open Door Policy:

Unfortunately, things have arisen amongst a few members that were resolved, however it resulted in the departure of one of our dearest members. I¡¦m not delving into issues because it isn¡¦t relevant. I¡¦m only using that as an opening for my next statement:

I am taking the time to formally establish my ¡§Open Door¡¨ policy. This is a tool that is utilised by military commanders (and one that I used heavily during my tenure as an NCO in the Army), and basically means that my ear is always open to your voices, to your concerns, and to your troubles, or if you have them suggestions. I am here to serve you, in the course of that service make I encourage you all to make me work for my money.

COMMAND POLICY NUMBER 1:

SUBJECT: OPEN DOOR POLICY

1. My door is always open. I am available to assist you with personal and professional issues or conflicts as they arise in the DB.

2. When surfacing a problem or offering suggestions, I encourage you to begin with the supervisory chain of command for House Gladius. For issues involving Battle Teams, I encourage you to involve the BTL. If this is impractical than do not hesitate to bring your issues to my attention. It is always better to nip things in the bud at the lowest levels.

3. Again my door is open for ALL members of Gladius and indeed Tartentum as a whole. If you see me in the Clan channel, contact me with a PM. FINAL THOUGHTS:

Over the years, Tarentum has been a Clan set apart from all others. We are a Clan bound by a proud legacy and united by friendship, and for some it has become a sort of ¡§family¡¨. Like any family, there will be bickering and fights but in the end we are all Tarentii. I ask each of you to dwell on that thought, and remember to treat one another with respect even if you disagree¡Kor you¡¦ll get sent to Oberst¡¦s Tower for some TLC.
