Hey all,

Kind of a hum-dee-dum week in terms of activity. Last week was much better as far as SA exams and things like that. Don't just stop at the easy ones, lol! At least try all of the exams. Even a failing grade is activity.

So, we're off....

Competitions

The last day to submit gaming scores for the current round of gaming for the clan competition is Tomorrow, Monday. I hope everyone has gotten some gaming in. The clan-level competitions give everyone a chance to participate and really helps separate out the active from the inactive. All of the information on the current clan competition can be found in the Competitions section of the DB website. Look for the ones labeled "Yridian Revolt."

We have already had great success in the competition with high activity and winners in the gaming rounds and 2nd and 3rd place in the last writing round coming from our own Elric and Melkor. Great job, guys.

Dark Education

Like I said, last week was much better for our education values. We had an extremely high level of SA exams completed last week that dropped to 1 this week. That 1 was a Lightsaber Basics exam passed by Drodik who has since transferred out of Tarentum. These new exams, including Lightsaber Basics, are actually really fun and I feel more into my character now after just that one test. I recommend it. Medals, Rewards, etc.

Good stuff this week:

OP Zekk - Crescent with Amethyst Star for taking first place in the Winter-een-mas Competition, and 1 Cluster of Fire.

GRD Elric - Crescent with Sapphire Star for taking second place in the last Clan Competition writing round.

PRT Melkor - Star of Antei for excellent activity, and Crescent with Emerald Star for taking third place in the last Clan Competition writing round.

DJK JKast - Crescent with Sapphire Star for taking second place in the Winter-een-mas Competition, 8 Clusters of Fire, and a Legion of the Scholar.

Great job, everyone. Keep up the activity, and if your name isn't on this list, there's plenty of opportunities to compete and participate in things to get medals, so get to it!

Conclusion

As I said, this week was a little lackluster in terms of activity. I would love to see more people get on IRC and chat so I can meet everyone and know everyone. I'm going to be working on something in the future after the clan competition is over to help out with IRC activity. There is an IRC Guide on the DB website to help you out with getting started with the program and getting to where you need to be. If you can't figure it out with that, shoot me an email and I'll be glad to help you out as well. That goes for any question you may have about anything, just keep in touch.
