== Taldryan News ==

Cleaned off Roster

The AWOL/Member-Status Check resulted in 40 members being removed from the Clan. We still have a very good sized clan so I'm looking forward to what we can do with less inactive people holding us back. I'll be running a silent check come the end of March so show some activity between now and then or you might find an unhappy email from me in your inbox, the horror! =P

Dark Sabre Awarded an Amethyst Kukri!

Our very own KE Dark Sabre Taldrya was awarded an Amethyst Kukri (AK) last week for long service to the Antei Combat Centre. Many congrats go out to DS! To check out the news post and recommendation, check out the link.

New Clan Award

A new Clan award has actually been on the Tal website for a week or so now. Officially now, we are happy to announce the addition of Shadow's Courage! Of course this is named after our former CON in his honor. For the full description of the award, check the awards page.

Tal Times: Looking for Stuff!

All the House and Clan Summit members will be submitting stuff, but we want contributions from you the members. The Tal Times has always been awesome and with great members submitting it always will be. To check out previous editions, go to the link below. CON Comp 1-2 & 1-3

The second event of "The CON Comp Strikes Back!" finished last week. A two word run-on ended with 606 replies, tons of craziness, and three top spammers. Congrats to the winners.

1st: Menace (House Ektrosis)

2nd: Tarax (House Dinaari)

3rd: Odium (House Dinaari)

7 members from Dinaari and 5 from Ektrosis participated. PRT Menace volunteered to gather all the posts and make one long run-on document for us. For those that didn't read the run-on as it happened, you can check it out in the Tal Times at the end of the month.

The third CON Comp is a Valentines song or poem writing event. Write about a fellow Dark Brotherhood or preferably Clan Taldryan member. Write how you want, long or short; just make sure it's funny and pwnz of course. Add yours anytime between now and Saturday. Have fun with it!

Battlefront 2 Competition

DJK Tarax Eosphoros Kor recently started a competition involving Star Wars Battlefront 2 for the Clan. It involves playing Capture the Flag, or CTF to most of us, with either Clan members or other Dark Brotherhood members. For all the details on the competition you can check out "Sir Capturelot" under the Taldryan Competition page linked below. I and others are sure to be up to play in this especially on the weekends, but you can probably find people wanting to play BF2 on any of the gaming nights. Lots of pwnage to be had!

Tal Landmarks Competition

I'm submitting a competition to find graphics to go with our Clan Headquarters and Initiation Temple descriptions. You'll have two weeks to make some sweet graphics for either or both and submit it to me. I'm thinking 4th level Crescents and the top graphics will be used on the Clan website with the descriptions. To check out the information on both landmarks, check the link below. Once the competition is officially approved, I'll pass that along to you all.

New Gaming Tribune Soon

GM Jac should be announcing a new Gaming Tribune sometime very soon. Once a person is named, we should get an idea of when backlogged medals from Gaming nights will be awarded. Thanks to Korras on what he did in the position and best wishes as PCON of Clan Naga Sadow.

GMRG Application Form

For those interested in the Grand Master's Royal Guard, you can now apply to join the group on the DB website. All you have to do is login with your dossier number and password and it should be linked under the Administration Options.

Another week passed by. Lots talked about here and lots I'm talking about with the Summits. There is much to get accomplished by the end of the month for us and I'm sure it will all be done. Keep a look out for the Tal Times, State of the Clan Address, and some special awards by March. We have several events for you guys to get into plus the usual gaming events. Lots of stuff going on, wOOt!

_Regular Multiplayer Gaming Events -

Tuesday 1v1 Night

Multiplayer gaming night that will be held all day Tuesday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Tuesdays are "solo" nights; meaning 1 vs. 1 games will be played, but anything goes really. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses.

Thursday Team Night

Multiplayer gaming night that will be all day Thursday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Thursdays are "team" nights, meaning matches can be played with at least teams of 2 vs. 2, but anything goes really. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses.

Interclub Training Event

Multiplayer gaming night that will be held every Saturday evening in #outerrim. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Players come from DB and allied online gaming groups. Signup bots will be used, so use the !signup command on IRC to get matches in #outerrim. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses. Biweekly Sunday Tournament

Those people who participate in at least one match in the above listed weekly multiplayer competitions will be invited to play every other week in a Tournament on Sunday. There isn't any specific structure, you just play as many matches as you would like and the person with the most wins during the day wins the Tournament. Everyone gets points for any matches they play that they can use to buy personal possessions, and the total of all the points Taldryan members earn the Clan also earns as a whole to buy cool Clan stuff!
