The Proconsul sat in his temporary office going over the latest reports and requisitions. The task of building a new fortress and equipping it was truly staggering, yet it was the reports of exceptional activity that he was current focused on. Even with the Clan still settling into their new homes in the Jusadih System, the Dark Jedi of Plagueis were staying quite busy and training as hard as ever. Battlemaster Striker sighed inwardly, then plowed through the rest of the reports so he could compile his own weekly Clan status report for the Consul and the Dark Council. A Proconsul's work was never done...

As stated above, the energy and activity in Clan Plagueis continues to defy all expectations, and while I can't speak directly for the CON, I'm quite sure he would join me in stating that Clan Plagueis is doing quite well overall! :)

Congratulation from the Clan Summit and all in Clan Plagueis to the newly appointed Master At Arms, Warlord Syn Kaek! Your already doing a great job Kaek!! :)

I'd like to hear from the House Summits by this Friday on what projects you are currently working on, what the current status is of those projects, and what ideas and future projects you have in mind for your Houses. This isn't to micro-manage anything, just to bring the Clan Summit up to speed and to determine if any guidance or assistance is necessary to help keep things on track. ;)

Retention of our younger members is by far of major importance to the Clan Summit. This week 9 ACO to APP members were AWOL'd to the Rogue roster due to inactivity and failure to meet expected obligations as members of the Clan. Given the size of our Clan 9 people may not seem like a lot of people, but in terms of overall strength that's easily equates to 12% of our combined membership in Clan Plagueis. With our new Envoys in place, and a lot of new projects reaching completion or already released, we should be able to prevent such a massive loss in the future. Masters, do your part to ensure that your Apprentices remain active and move steadily forward to reach their goal of Knighthood. Envoys, you know what needs to be done, so I won't go into that. Lets work hard as a Clan to help our youngest members become as much of a part of this Clan as possible. When in doubt, remember how you felt when you first joined. How confused were you? :P

A friendly reminder about using mIRC and join us at #plagueis to chat and keep up with the latest news and gossip. If you are new and aren't sure how to use, or even where to get mIRC, there's a link on our Clan website where you can learn all about what IRC is, how to download and install it, and how to set it up to access our Clan channel. There is almost always a dozen or more people in the channel at any given time. But I warn you, some of our members are a little extreme, so keep your extremities close to your body if you value them. hehehe

The editors of the Plagueis Cronicle have been putting out the word that they are accepting submissions for this months exciting edition! You have until the 27th to get your entries in if you want to see it published in the February edition. Send your entries to [Log in to view e-mail addresses].

While all competitions ran within the Clan are important, I want to take this moment to remind everyone that the Plagueis Warbanner Competition is nearly over. Entries must be submitted to the PCON no later than February 22nd. I've received a few entries, but I'd like to see more. Also, all entries regardless of how they place in the competition will be inserted into this months edition of the Plagueis Chronicle so that we can show off the work of our fine graphic artists! Get your warbanner submitted before its too late!

While I'm on the subject of competitions, please be mindful of the instructions that are released with every new competition announcement. Typically competition instructions list one specific person to submit your entries to. In the case of something like the current "Riddle Me This" competition, do NOT submit your weekly entry to the Competition Master by way of the Clan mailing list. To do so will disqualify you immediately from that weeks round. So far three people have done this and the competition has only been running for two weeks! Pay attention to where your sending an email when you hit that "Reply" button in your email browser. :P

Another reminder about the Advancement Survey for all ACO to DJK ranks. All you have to do is log-in to your Admin and select it from the options listed on your Admin menu. The survey only takes a few minutes and provides the Clan Summits and Dark Council with some valuable feedback on what you think about key matters within the DB. For those of you that have taken the time to submit your survey, our thanks, the information submitted is already providing some valuable insight into past, and present, problems within Clan Plagueis. FYI, the Grand Master says taking this survey is mandatory for ACO to DJK, so take the few minutes today and spare us the hassle of having to hunt you down to do it later. :P

The Master/Apprentice program is back in full swing again within Clan Plagueis. The Consul and I both took on new Apprentices this week, and I'm aware of at least 2-3 other pairings that were made this week as well. If your a Master, SW or higher, and do not yet have an Apprentice, contact the Clan Envoy today to find out which Apprentices are still available. You'll be doing yourself, the Apprentice, and the Clan a great service! :)

Speaking of the Master/Apprentice program, KAP Vithril Isradia Kunar wants to remind everyone that some revisions have been made to the guide and you should all read over them to be sure you're up on the latest information and procedures for the program. I also highly advise reading up on the newest promotion guidelines for the Apprentice ranks, it'll definitely help Masters determine what specific tasks your Apprentice needs to take for advancement to their next rank.

I'd like to remind everyone to visit the new Clan website (http://plagueis.darkjedibrotherhood.com/news.php, and the Clan MB forums, on a daily basis to be sure that you're up on the latest news and information. We are actively using the News section on the Clan site, so you will always find the latest info there as it is released! Besides, there is a lot of great information on the Clan site. ;)

The HSK Envoy, SBM Warhunter Arawn Entar, wants to remind everyone that there is a House Run-on currently taking place on the HSK Forums http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2411, so if your a member of HSK, go participate!

The new Training Lightsaber is now available to those that qualify to get it. You can take the Training Saber Course through your Admin menu, or at (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/sa_TrainingSaberCourseNotes.asp). To receive your new Training Lightsaber, and have it displayed on your dossier, you must meet the following requirements:

A member must be the rank of Acolyte.
A member must be a Neophyte [ACC: CL:1] in the Antei Combat Centre
A member must pass the Training Saber Test linked below

It is strongly suggested that you pass the test after you have reached Neophyte/Acolyte; if you do, the saber will be added to your dossier automatically. Otherwise, you will need to email the Herald (HRLD) to have it added once you become a Neophyte. SA credit is marked on your dossier for completion of the test. Older members can take the test too for that credit.

Specifics:

Time to return to my infamous Riddle Me this competition. As before, I

will release a riddle every 3 days to the clan mailing list. First to

answer correctly earns themselves a point. At the end of the event (total

of 20 riddles) the Top 3 point-collectors will be award 3rd level

crescents (CON/PCON will award). However, as this event is famous for,

members can also submit riddles to myself in an attempt to stump the

Riddle Master of CP. Those that stump WH, will be awarded a LSS(CON/PCON

will award).

Title: The Dawning of War A HSK Run-on

I've posted the first post of the new house run-on here:

I look forward to seeing the creativity that you guys have and where

you take this story. Kromtal and I will be making sure that things

basically stay on track, but monitor yourself and make sure you stay

on course with what everyone else is writing.

I plan on letting this run until it comes to an end, so it's up to you

guys how long this lasts. At the end I will be awarding the top three

members who overall make the best contributions to the run-on. They

will receive Crescents for their hard work. Also, we're gonna pick

out the best individual post overall. This person will receive

something, but I'm not quite sure yet what that will be.

I hope this is fun and if you have questions let me know. Oh, the

first few posts might be a little short until we see who's all on

board and then I'll give my orders, which will speed things up. Just

thought you guys should know that.
