I understand that this report is one day late, so don't try to strangle me. I was busy yesterday trying to get the war started, so I am posting my report today. This report is a special one at that because our very own Famosus was kind enough to make some graphics for my wonderful babblings.

Therefore, my reports will start to be much more... how should I put this... colorful. In addition, I would really like to here some feedback of what you think of my reports. What to keep, change, and so on...

This report is special in another way because our battle team war has now begun, but more on that later. With that said, I declare this report started!

~ There were a lot of medals and Shadow Academy courses passed these past two weeks, and I really like to see that kind of activity. Part of this is from the fact that the war banner competition ended, but I still congratulate you all for your hard work. Both Lorien and Famosus submitted banners that placed, so great work guys! Let's try to keep up the good work all throughout the war!

~ Remember that most Shadow Academy courses are super easy to pass, and only take a few minutes to answer a couple questions. They expand your knowledge of numerous subjects, and put something extra on your dossier. Also, remember that once you pass twenty-five courses email Braecen and receive a beautiful Star of Antei.

~ Sadly, my great friend and mentor Gaidal Dupar al'Tor has had to step down from his position as QUA due to real life issues. Don't we just hate reality! The silver lining, however, is that my friend Braecen has taken over, and brought in rival battle team leader Thran Occasus as Exar Kun's new AED. For now, he will continue as commander until the war ends though, so let's buy him a drink for getting AED.

~ After this report everything is going to get very busy with the war. Besides the two-week long break after event two there will be constant competitions for you to participate in. About the break, I am going on a four-day leave of absence that has been planned for a long time. During that time there is a bonus event running involving flying games, so participate if you can. It's ok if you can't though; it'll be your only break you have during this two-month long war.

~ Special congratulations to Dorn, who received two medals and completed one Shadow Academy course Great job!

~ Today is a very special day because our battle team war has finally started. You probably received my email about it earlier today, so that contains pretty much everything you need to know. This is a war between Battle Team Exar's Shadow and Blades of Kun that contains seven events each spanning over a two-month period. Every Saturday a story will be posted on the war website that connects each event, so I encourage you all to check the site at least every Sunday. Results, points, and events are also posted on the site, so using it will make this competition much easier for you and me. Event #1 started today, but you'll read more on that later on in my report.

~ Many of you have seen the website I created for Exar's Shadow, and it's coming out pretty well. After I post this report I'm going to go through and update everything that is behind, so that's news, artifacts, honorary members, and more I can't think of right now. Be sure you use your positions and artifacts in your fiction pieces because that'll be a major part of your stories when I am grading entries.

~ Right now I am spending every once of my time working on the war... ok maybe not. After today, though, it'll be like that because I'll be writing stories and grading submissions all day long. I'm still going to keep a presence on #plagueis though, so if you need my nick will probably by Aabs|BT.

~ [EK BT War!] Recapturing the Captured/Event #1

House Exar Kun is at a critical moment as they finish unpacking their items into the new temple on their new home planet, Aerun. Everyone is still being settled in, and no one is ready to defend his or her new home. Battle Team Exar's Shadow transports their captive Alonzo Bodelle, who was exiled from the Crimson Tide after being arrested, to his new cellblock. Exar's Shadow questioned him intensely while on Elysian, but he told them nothing before the house was forced to move.

Then, silently during the night while the house's members were sleeping, a small group of pirates invade the temple. They release Alonzo Bodelle from his cell, kidnap five dark jedi younglings, and steal the floor plans to the new temple. The few lookouts were quickly and silently killed. It is suspected they were wearing force-blocking items, otherwise members such as Gaidal Dupar or Braecen Isradia would have sensed their presence.

The next morning when the attacked was discovered, Gaidal called an emergency meeting to include Braecen, Aabsdu, and Thran. They conclude that the small band of pirates has to be dealt with quickly, and that the floor plans have to be recovered. They decide to send the two battle teams out to recover the plans, recapture Alonzo, and rescue the younglings before the band of pirates escape.

Meanwhile, in the pirates' capital ship the Killer, Alonzo Bodelle speaks with the pirate leader Lirias Narth about keeping the dark jedi from reaching them. Lirias agrees that the jedi are a problem, and sends his assassin Torus Saasa and her apprentice, Shan Drak, to keep the jedi from reaching the Killer.

Mission: To fight past Torus Saasa and her apprentice and reach the Killer, rescue the younglings, retrieve the stolen floor plans, capture pirate leader Lirias Narth, and recapture Alonzo Bodelle before the other battle team does. Your battle team must come out on top and claim glory against the opponent.

Objective: Complete the various gaming and writing missions assigned by Aabsdu and Thran. Earn points by entering and/or placing in the events. The battle team with the overall points in the end wins glory as well as the title of Keepers of the Peace and Protectors of the Darkness in Exar Kun.

Awards: 5th level crescents to the placing members in each of the eight events, and 4th level crescents (to be awarded by Braecen) to the three members with the most overall points in the end.

1 point: Entering an event

4 points: 1st place in an event

3 points: 2nd place in an event

2 points: 3rd place in an event.

5 points: Awarded to a single battle team if they place first, second, and third in an event.

~ Points earned will be given to the member’s battle team as well as that member’s individual total. Aabsdu's points are Exar's Shadow's total and Thran's points are Kun's total.

Event 1

Gaming: Traitors!?!?

After adjourning from the emergency meeting, Aabsdu and Thran immediately started thinking of ways to keep the other team from getting a head start. Strangely, both commanders thought of the same thing, and they started to spread rumors about how the other battle team was planning to take over, and how they had a massive army at their disposal. Dark Jedi are never very trusting, so when they heard this they immediately took arms against the two teams.

As Exar's Shadow and Blades of Kun make their way to the hangar bay, they find hundreds of members in their path. Some were part of Exar Kun and Clan Plagueis and others were just on Aerun visiting, but either way they aren’t planning on letting the two teams get off planet.

This week long event falls under the gaming category. You are to duel against any other DB member in a game of JA, JO, RC, BF, BF2, or ACCLive! The same rules apply that do during gaming nights.

Pretty much play other DB'ers in any game that doesn't involve flying, and be sure to submit matches to the database under OTHER GAMING. With ACCLive! matches, though, email me with the link. Matches played during gaming nights still count for CFs, just submit them to both categories.

~ Every Saturday the current event will end and I will post another story on the website. The next day, Sunday, I will email the house and the next event will start. Therefore, for the next two months a new competition will start every week. Save, of course, for the two-week bonus event/break.

~ After the war ends sometime during the second week of May I'm going to give you all a break. During that time, I will put out results on all events and the war as a whole, and award all medals to the lucky people who placed. I will also put together the questions for that trivia I have been promising you all, and hopefully that competition will happen sometime towards the end of May.

~ After the trivia competition I have another run-on in stock for you all that'll run end of June through July, but more on that when it comes up. Right now, all I will tell you is that it involves me being tortured. That should give you something to dream about, as if you didn't already.

~ As you can see, I have two competitions for us to participate in after the war, but I'm always looking for more great ideas. Our very own Galaphile helped me create the run-on plot, though he has probably forgotten. If you ever have a premonition of some awesome idea for a competition email me and tell me and I'll probably turn it into a comp.
