The Path of Darkness

Specifics:

This is going to be a writing competition for House Satal Keto. The story will involve the writer encountering a lone Jedi on a barren and desolate planet. It's up to the writer to determine the outcome of the meeting, whether the Jedi sees the truth and joins us on the Dark path, or is stubborn and is slain outright.

Submissions will be graded on quality, both of the story itself and

spelling/grammar usage. A minimum of 3 pages in 12 pt is required.

All entries are to be in RTF or DOC format, no TXT or funky formats Word won't open without conversion.

Judging will be done entirely by myself, the AED of HSK, though I may

enlist help from non entrants if I require a tie to be broken.

The Rest of the Crap

This week was a big week for HSK. Arawn decided to open up another Battleteam within the House, so check your local roster page for the new team, Kirleta's Way. With the opening of the new team we had to find a suitable person to lead it, so everyone welcome DJK Vasily Ziatsev, the new CMDR. He's fresh from House Exar Kun and ready to leave behind his old ways and help usher in a new era of rocking for House Satal Keto.

This week also marked my ascension to the position of Praetor to the Headmaster. What's that mean for you guys? Nothing really, it's just more work for me as I work with the Headmaster to keep the Shadow Academy moving smoothly. Anshar is now taking new course proposals, so if you've got an idea for a course by all means send him an outline and CC me on it.

It has also came to my attention that there is some confusion regarding the Promotional Guidelines and when you're eligible for an elevation in rank. I'm going to use a case that came to me this week, though I will leave out any names to avoid any potential singling out of anyone.

When you look at the guidelines and it has a list of tasks to complete, these tasks are while you hold the rank immediately below the one you're going for. The confusion came in regards to the optional path to PRT being that you can complete 5 General courses in the Shadow Academy. This isn't just have 5 General courses on your dossier, it means you must complete 5 courses after you've reached the rank of ACO.
