CNS PCON Report #4 - May 6th, 2006

We're still in the middle of the Clan Feud. We basically have only one more week to go, then I can stop freaking out.

1. Clan Feud
   

I normally do the point totals in the morning at work, because that's when everyone else is slacking off (talking about their day and stuff) so I don't feel so bad about not doing actual work work to compile stuff. Anyways, I decided that since it was Friday, and since I was not going to have access to Excel throughout the weekend, that I would do it Friday afternoon. Of course, things got a little busy Friday Afternoon and I totally didn't have the time to do the gaming stats. However, based on what I've been noticing, gaming has really tapered off. I'm wondering if other clans have become confident in their scores over us, or not. So basically the scores that I'd be reporting to you aren't that much different than what they are now. I really do try to get at least once match in a day. It's not just about the Clan Feud, it's an easy way for me to reach my goal of 1000 CFs by the end of the year (I'm over 600 at this point).

I really really really really really really hope that people who were planning on submitting fiction and/or graphics to the competition did so. Because if we lose this thing by 20 points, you're going to feel REALLY bad that you didn't write 2 pages. I'll just be mortified :P

Of course, I'm writing this report now because someone said something like, "Hey, I'll play you in JA in a few minutes" and it's been freaking 30 minutes. I mean seriously, I have things to do. DB things even.

1. Shadow Academy Graduations
   

SA course completions are the bulk of the PCON-type emails I receivedt his week. In fact, there were 13 SA course completions this week. While I can't give SA course completions the attention they probably deserve, good job to people who have completed them. For you younger members, Shadow Academy completions can be VITAL to your promotion prospects. Although, participating in the Clan Feud would have helped that as well.

1. Promotion
   

Congratulations to Eldrad Sin who was recently promoted from Jedi Hunter to Dark Jedi Knight. Yay! I figured that I would mention any promotions to JH or higher, and this is my first one since becoming PCON.

This also leads to the ONLY medal that was given out this week, a Scroll of Indoctrination to Macron Goura for being Eldrad Sin's master in the student-master program. If some of you don't know already, I had two students and they both fizzled out. Peh.

1. Conclusion
   

I was talking to someone from another Clan while playing her in JA last night. She's the Clan Envoy for her clan, and I was explaining to her how VITAL that position is to the Clan. I then started going off on how the Envoys and the QUAs and the AEDs are vital to Clan operation. Then I joked something like, "I'm not exactly sure what I do." I mean, I do stuff, like inspire greatness in people. I've been so focused on the Clan Feud that I haven't had time to focus on other stuff. Actually, one project that I'm supposed to be working on is a DB Systems Map for Goatham. It's about 70% complete actually, but then this Clan Feud happened, so I hope Goatham understands why I haven't been working on it.

Anyways, that's all I wanted to talk about.
