</tr> <tr> <td> <span class="style4">Introduction</span> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Greetings, House Oriens Obscurum. As some of you know, and all of you should know, I am the new Aedile of this House. My name is Ethran Sayre Isradia. I am glad to be a part of it, and I hope that we all can contribute to moving this House up in its activity level. It is very possible, and all we need to do to start is have a good communication level. Message boards, IRC, instant messaging; all of it is a good form of communication. I will cover more on that later in the report. Competitions will also be a big factor in what will be coming soon. I would really like to see Bas-Tyra active again, so Xaviar and I have been working on a few ideas about how to go about boosting the level of activity in the Battle Team. There are several projects that I am planning on working on, after I run them past the Quaestor, so keep your eyes open when I start asking for volunteers to help out. General

Everyone knows that communication is the sole factor of having an active House. This is something that I think needs stressed. Even though I have no been in the House that long, I have seen almost no activity on the mailing lists, minimal activity on the message boards, and I rarely see any members of the House on mIRC. This is very disturbing, people. I'm going to be expecting a response from everyone to this report. Send me an email response titled "Reporting In," that way I know you all are at least reading the reports. You can also consider it a quick AWOL check of my own, so I know who the 'trouble makers' are gonna be. Please email [Log in to view e-mail addresses].

Message Boards

I have started a discussion topic on the message boards, and I wish to see more activity on it. There really shouldnt be a reason why there isn't any discussions going on, because I know you all want certain things out of the House. So tell us about them.

IRC

IRC prescence is very important as well. You can sort of think of it as the best place for up to date news. Yes the DJB site and Summit reports will give you information, but what if something happened immediately, someone asked for something on IRC for example, and a person was chosen five minutes later? You would have missed out on a good opportunity. I don't want to see any members get over looked because they are not on IRC. If you don't know how to get the mIRC client, just follow this link. I know that some of you are not able to download things, I used to be in the same position. There is an alternative though. If you simply go to this link: webchat you can use the web client version that the DJB has provided for member use.
