CNS PCON Report #6 - May 20th, 2006

Well, the majority of this report will be dedicated to discussing the results of the Clan Feud. However, I hope you do read the rest of the report, because there are doings in this clan other than the Clan Feud, and some of them are Important. Like, who my new Black GUard is, some big promotions, and stuff.

1. Clan Feud Statistics
   

Well, we won. Here are the final standings:

Grand Total:

CNS: 2214

CP: 1060

CSP: 586

CT: 1425

We had some placings as well:

-Malisane and Scithe tied for 3rd in the first Fiction event.

-Godo Nurok placed 2nd in the second Fiction event.

-Lani, I mean Eldrad Sin and Mizu got 1st, and sildrin got 2nd in the graphic event. Note that the top three in this event were all CNSers.

-We won the battleplan. Good work to the CNS contingent of the team, consisting of Trev, Mifune, and Macron. I must say I'm glad that it was remarkably easy to mobilize a team for this event.

-In Battlefront, Siyavash won and Xayun got 3rd.

-Xayun got 2nd in Republic Commando. Note that there were only two Republic Commando participants in the entire Clan Feud. Let that be a reminder to you that you too can place in events if nobody else does.

-I of course won the Jedi Outcast event by a ton.

-In Xwing vs. TIE Fighter, Godo Nurok won.

1. Clan Feud, How I Feel
   

We didn't necessarily win because we're really great gamers or something. We won because we were able to get over 30 CNS members to participate this competition. I find that completely remarkable and that's really the best feeling I get out of the whole thing. I mean, winning is nice, but the idea that over 30 of you felt like helping the clan really warms my heart.

Now, as to why I'm not really feeling as giddy about the whole thing as I should be. Well, I dunno, maybe it just hasn't sunken in. Or maybe I'm like Goatham and I can't stop freaking out about the next competition. The next competition, by the way, is the Great Jedi War coming mid-June.

1. Clan Feud, Debrief
   

I hope everybody has taken a look at the spreadsheet I made a couple of days ago. There you can see how many points you earned for the Clan in the Clan Feud and how it ranks with other people. You'll also notice blanks for certain fiction events. Now I know a lot of you are busy people, but a lot of you are not busy people, and you probably didn't feel like participating. So this spreadsheet will show you where you could have helped more, and for those of you who did participate, it'll show you how your contribution to the clan, well contributed :P

Hopefully I'll remember to attach this spreadsheet to this PCON report when I email it.

There are some related issues to the Clan Feud that we're going to have to deal with.

1. New Black Guard
   

Some people have been asking me about who I'd pick as my Black Guard. Well, when the Clan Feud started I decided that whoever produced the most points for the Clan would become my Black Guard. Well, I was the member of the Clan who produced the most points in the Clan Feud, by a lot :P

However, the 2nd highest number of points for the clan was earned by Godo Nurok. That is why I have decided to make Godo Nurok my Black Guard for the next few months. I mean seriously Godo, you snuck up and just got a ton of points!

By the way, Malisane was RIGHT behind Godo Nurok points-wise. Godo had I think 142 points and Malisane ended up with 138 points. However, Malisane is an AED so he can't be a Black Guard anyways.

1. Naming the New Frigate
   

Clan Naga Sadow won a Nebulon B-2 Frigate for winning the Clan Feud. This makes me very happy because it is my favorite starship in all of Star Wars. However, we need to name this ship. Now, it has been suggested to me that we hold a competition to name the ship, and it's been done that way before. However, I'd like to have an open discussion. At certain periods during the discussion, I will direct it until we come to a final name. This is your B-2 frigate.

To that end, we will discuss the matter on the message boards. To the MESSAGE BOARDS!

1. Promotions
   

We've had some big promotions. Or, at least I think they're big. My policy is going to be to put promotions to JH or higher in my PCON reports.

Ashia Kagan has been promoted to Jedi Hunter. She has been very active on IRC and during the Clan Feud. She was our main reprentation in Empire at War. By the way, I believe she's an Empire at War "duck" in today's ICTE.

Xayun Erinos has been promoted to Dark Jedi Knight. I know people make fun of him and stuff, but watch out, you're looking at the future. Despite the teasing on IRC, Xayun is a considerably active person, and his work as Clan Envoy (and previously House Envoy) prove VITAL to our clan.

1. Medals
   

I do want to mention that some major medals were awarded this week. Both Revenant and Xayun were awarded Steel Crosses (SC) for their work for the clan.

Stars of Antei (StA) were awarded to Acara Rayden and Godo Nurok.

A Dark Cross (DC) was awarded to Kairus. I'd watch out for Kairus. I'm supposed to be the "duck" in today's ICTE because I supposedly rock at Jedi Outcast, but Kairus really did well against me.

Seems like it's been an especially good week for Xayun.

1. Gaming
   

Obviously I'm awaiting the rewards from the Clan Feud. I know I'll be getting a ton of CFs.

However, at the end of the Clan Feud there were some gaming nights. Raven earned 2 CFs, Xayun earned 6 CFs, and Mifune earned 1 CF during the Thursday gaming night.

During the ICTE two weeks ago, Ashia Kagan earned 7 CFs, and I earned 2 CFs.

1. Conclusion
   

I'm still trying to sort out how your performance in the Clan Feud should be rewarded. I think in the end your QUAs know how you did and will reward you accordingly. specially given the awesome spreadsheet I made showing your performance.
