Welcome to this week's edition of Aedile Weekly, now in its sixth week of running. I must say, I've loved being here with you guys, and I will admit our ratings have been skyrocketing lately. Enough gibber-gabber though, let's get on with the report!

~ A Pre-GJW competition has just ended, and while Plagueis finished forth, I think we still did pretty well. Certainly better then we have been when it comes to gaming. In fact, Plagueis has started to show that we have what it takes to game, so I'd like to thank all those that represent Plagueis in the gaming community. I know quite a lot of people received Cluster of Fires for gaming, and a few of us even won crescents for coming in the top three. I won two Ruby Crescents for coming first in Republic Commando and Empire at War, and I think a few from Satal Keto won crescents for the flying games. Let's have this same amount of activity, plus more, in the actual Great Jedi War.
~ Battle Teams, what can I say about them? Well, if I were to describe them in one word it would be awesome. It's because of battle teams that I'm a Sith Warrior and Aedile of this house, it's because of battle teams that Scorpius became Quaestor, Salth became Pro-Consul, despite what some may think battle teams are the base of everything that goes on around here. They're an easy way to earn medals in simple competitions, and a great way to get noticed by those higher on the totem pole then you. What I'm saying, though, is that a battle team is a great way to move up in life and flourish, so I really encourage you all to join one. Right now, we have two; Exar's Shadow that is a gaming team, and Blades of Kun that is a writing team. If you're interested in either of them, just contact the commander and me and you'll be on the roster before you can say, "Battle Teams!"
~ Starting after the Great Jedi War, Clan Consuls will become part of the Dark Council. This means that clans themselves will have a little more say in what happens around here, but there probably won't be that much change in the end.
~ Remember that if you're a non-summit member and wish to run a competition have it approved by the leaders of that group. If it's a clan competition that's Sarin and Salth, and if it's a house competition that's me. Also, if it is approved make sure you include that under the comments section when submitting your competition.
~ Grand Master Jac is on vacation in Europe, so until he returns Goat in charge... o dear god... did I really say that?
~ Special congratulations go out to Halc on his recent promotion to Dark Jedi Master! Now we really have a reason to fear him...
~ Remember that our clan channel on IRC (#plagueis) is rated PG-13. This means no bad swearing or dirty talk. If you do, we'll give you one or two warnings, but if you keep on then the summit does have permission to kick or ban you from the channel. Believe him, I'll do it grins
~ A new Star Wars comic series is going to start being released monthly by Dark Horse comics at the end of June. The title of this new series is Legacy, and is set around 140 years after the Battle of Yavin. I bought the 25-cent synopsis that was given out to explain the story, and I must say it looks good. The Rebellion has once again fallen to the Empire, and the Vong have been pushed back to the far reaches of the galaxy. While many of the planets taken over by the alien invaders have been restored, there are still reminders of the organic lifestyle used by them. This Empire, however, is a bit nicer then the original one. The main reason for this is that it's no longer ruled by a Sith, but it still works around dictatorship. The Empire uses jedi as its guards, though the jedi still loyal to the force have been forced to go into exile on a distant planet. Yet, on the planet of Korriban, a large Sith Army grows that will soon try to take over the galaxy once again. All I can say about the head sith, Darth Krayt, is wow! I'll certainly be buying these comics!
~ Del Rey Books has contacted James Luceno about writing a novel that will cover the apprenticeship between Darth Sidious and Darth Plagueis. So far, not much has been said except for the fact that Darth Plagueis is a Muun. Yes... don't ask...
~ Again, there was a lot of activity in the house this past week. This is good, and I encourage all of you to keep it up as we go throughout the Great Jedi War. Mainly there were a flurry of Shadow Academy courses passed, but then a few people also received Cluster of Fires for their gaming during the Pre-GJW tourney. These people include Schisca, Vasily, and me. Special congrats go out to Kyra and Jesan who were both promoted this past week. Let's keep it up guys/girls and soon you'll be hanging out with the big boys... girls... You younglings keep it up, though, as well as you older members. If there's one thing I can tell you it's that come the end of June and July Exar Kun will be full of newly promoted peeps. Remember to keep passing all these Shadow Academy courses too because once you reach twenty-five I have a nice Star of Antei with your name on it.

Commercials on Lightsaber Replicas, Essence la Sith perfume, and other strange products air for the next two minutes and sixteen seconds
~ And we're back, ok, I'm not going to write all of my projects down here anymore, and the reason for that is that an entire page has been created on the house website that lists our projects. Now, I am hoping most of you can find that page on your own, but here it is for the rest of you. In addition, if anyone has a project that is house or clan related, and they would like it to be added on this page, just email Vir or me and we'll get it up here.
~ When Braecen was QUA he put into effect guidelines for which you would earn merit awards. It involved you doing things in the ACC, SA, and GMRG in order to earn some merits. Well, I really like the idea, so I have decided to put it into effect again. Now, some of these like the SA one are very easy, but take a little time. There are at least thirty SA courses out there, and soon more, so at all costs that challenge should be the most popular one. Already four or five people have won an award because of these, so that just goes to show that I'm not kidding. Also, in order to make sure I don't forget anyone, please email me when you complete one of the challenges listed below.
Shadow Academy: 25 Course Passed - Star of Antei
Antei Combat Centre: 10 Wins (or 20 matches) - Dark Cross; 20 wins (or 40 matches) - Star of Antei; 30 wins (or 50 matches) - Steel Cross; 40 wins (80 matches) - Grand Cross
Grand Master's Royal Guard: Sentinel 1 - Dark Cross; Sentinel 4 - Star of Antei; Guardsman 1 - Steel Cross; Guardsman 4 - Grand Cross of the Dark Side
~ This should be about the time that everyone starts getting ready for the Great Jedi War. Once that starts, you're all going to have weekly events in the area of writing, gaming, and graphics. Thus, none of you can use the excuse that there wasn't anything to do because this major competition covers all areas for a purpose. I'll be there with you, of course, and will be cheering you all on as I too participate where I can. Also, while this section will stay the same, it is going to become my Great Jedi War section. Starting next week, this is where I will post all the news/competitions/points and everything else concerning the war. Just remember that it will still be called the Competitions section.
And that concludes this week's episode. Be sure to join us next week with our special on Salth Khan: Robot, Alien, or something completely new?
Dupar Out.
