THE POETRY ENDS ON SUNDAY! THAT's TOMORROW!

Okay, so yeah, the Poetry ends on Sunday. Do I have to name names of people who haven't participated in the Poetry? I know I have. Any of you awesome gamers that we have in JA and JO, don't forget to participate there as well.

Personally, my plan is to do some multiplayer gaming this weekend, and then spend next weekend doing the single-player stuff, since I assume there are no regularly scheduled games going on at that time.

Not too much participation in the single-player events. I know a lot of you have some of these games, and don't feel like doing multiplayer because you umm, suck. Well, try to focus on getting one or more of those single-player events done then.

The fiction event is new, it's on there, I won't bitch about it much now, but as we get closer I will. This is obviously an event that everybody should have no problem participating in, since people dislike fiction less than they dislike poetry.

1. New Rollmaster
   

Congratulations to Sith Warrior Derev Niroth for being appointed Rollmaster of the clan. He's done the job before, basically creating a lot of the institutions we hold dear today. He's already doing an excellent job maintaining the GJW run-on.

I just want to say though, that several VERY GOOD members of this clan applied for the position, and I don't want them to think that just because they didn't get the position means that we don't value their contributions to the clan.

1. Medals
   

A whole bunch of merit medals were given out, mostly due to activity in the Clan Feud:

Dark Crosses (DC) were awarded to Malisane and Acerbus.

Stars of Antei (StA) were awarded to Ashia Ka-gan, Kairus, Scithe, Xayun, Eldrad Sin, and Siyavash.

Oh look, your beloved Proconsul got a Dark Side Scroll (my first!) for that lame blurb in the Dark Voice newsletter. Macron got two DSSes!

X. Conclusion

I want to weigh in on the emails that I've been receiving in my inbox on Friday.

It seems a lot of people are making a big deal out of a post that all of the Consuls agreed to post on the DB News page threatening a FICTIONAL war against the Dark Council. A lot of you are making a big deal out of nothing.

So Korras didn't consult with you guys. Do you seriously expect Korras to have to consult with the general membership for every decision? This was an action with no real consequences. It'd be like asking for consultation when picking a Slurpee flavor.

I have seen Korras arguing with the Dark Summit on many occasions, and I can tell you that for the most part he has acted in the best interests of the clan, and in some cases with an insight that I don't have. Trust me, if Korras did something that I felt was not in the best interests of the clan I would let him know. If there's something YOU don't like about what's going on, you need to email Korras (maybe me too!).

I was at a meeting for work on Thursday because my boss couldn't go. It was basically representatives (bosses) from all over the state, including local, state, and national agencies, trying to create a plan. What I found was a bunch of egos battling each other, and in the end, getting nothing done. Anyways, while I was thinking about that, I was thinking about this clan. I feel like everybody has an opinion on how this clan should be run, and while that's great, there's also the risk of increasing fractionalization among the members. I don't want that to happen. There are some people who don't LIKE other people in the clan, and when I find out about things like this, it breaks my heart. It seriously does. Because, at least as Proconsul, my primary objective is to foster a community where people care about each other.

There seem to be situations where person A and person B do not like each other. And well, I like both A and B. So what am I supposed to do?

I don't know about you guys, but I'm focused on winning this GJW.
