~~~ Great Jedi War ~~~

The Great Jedi War is still going. There have been some strange happenings over the past week though, that you may or may not know of. If you read the DB News page often you know the Consuls of the six Clans posted a fictional post about the DC for the GJW, that and some emails cause some bit of an uproar, but things are quieting down. The Dark Council including the Consuls will be working with LH Kaiann to make sure the GJW continues on and all the event details are hammered out well. Anyways, on to the current events and how we are doing

The Poetry Event Suspicion ends today, so get whatever submission you have entered today or you wont get the chance. To submit anything for the GJW, you just have to login to the DJB website and there is a link under the Administration page to submit for the GJW. I know some of you may not be good at poems or care to write much, but this would really help out the Clan, we need whatever submissions we can get. Im not that great at writing, but I did a nice 10+ line poem just to help out. All you need is 10 minutes or so to think about something to write on. The subject has to do with fear, suspicion, terror, and the unknown so you can really portray things well. Here is a list of who has submitted already.

Thats 14 folks, not bad, but I want to see us add several more to that list before the day ends. I know Menace and Tarax should be doing some, I saw Swiper say hed do one on IRC last week, and I expect the remain House Summits to do one (Bad Crix, Jive, Kraval, and Odium.. well Odium was on leave so not so bad). If you want to help the Clan and earn points for both yourself and us, take part in this before it ends!

The Run-on is still going, as it will for the entire War. I have to say I need to actually read it all this afternoon, Ive been so busy all week Ive lost track, and as soon as I do that Ill email everyone on whats up there. So please be patient there, Ill get back to everyone today on that.

The ACC Event Espionage, part one is out now. From what I can see, a few Taldryan members have been involved so far, but I think you can still signup and join in. After part one ends, obviously, part two will follow as another event that will end with the GJW ending. For those interested in this, check out the event details. If you are into the ACC, please take part of this and enjoy.

The JO and JA Single Player Events Reconnaissance has gone pretty well so far for the first week of it being open. These two separate events are still opened to July 2nd so I expect anyone that has these two games to do these levels. Please check the event pages for details, as I know there are a few things that can disqualify you in the JO one and there are specific things you need to get screenshots for the JA one. Right now the following folks have submitted to these. Nice so far, but I hope to see MANY more that I KNOW have and play the games.

The XWA and XvT Single Player Events Pursuit has seen little response from any Taldryan members. These events last till July 5th. So far we just have two submissions for the XWA Event from Benevolent Taldrya Whiner and Michael Arkarso. Big thanks to them for jumping on those. Anyone that has these games needs to get to these missions.

The JO and JA Multi-Player Events Dark Maneuvers started this past Monday and end this Tuesday, the 27th. So far I dont think Taldryan is doing well at all on the gaming front. Ive seen a good number of CNS, CP, and Tarentum members playing and too few of us. Ive been playing some for the last few days, I saw Michael play some, and I played a few with Shadow, and saw a few others once. Now when I hear two CNS members saying they both have around 80 wins each, I know we arent looking good for these events. Its almost over, but if you are around and can help out the Clan, get in #DBGaming and play for us. Wins and losses all get us points. There should be several other MP gaming events coming out later in the GJW, but we cant just let this one completely slip by us. Its time to wake up and follow the call to arms. Make sure you check the events pages for details as they arent quite like normal gaming nights.

The Fiction Event Investigations started this past Wednesday and goes on till July 9th. There isnt a page number requirement, whatever is needed to tell a good short story though. We have already seen two members submit for this, Fire-Knight and Ricco Vao. If you have time and not much to do, if you enjoy writing, or if you just want to help support the Clan, check this event out and do it ASAP. Im not much of a writer, but Ill be doing this sometime this week. Hope many of you do too!

And for the moment that covers the events open. For the plot of the GJW check the GJW website, our Run-on, and the bits and pieces across the DJB news page. I want to mention again that doing ANYTHING for the GJW earns Taldryan and you points. The better you do, they better the Clan does, they better rewards are handed out later. Want to know how many points you earn for just doing something or how much you get for winning in an event? Check the GJW website and under the Rules page. This is a group effort; we all are in this till the end. If you have questions, concerns, problems, anything; just email the group here or talk to a House Summit member. There is always someone that can help. Look for more emails regularly on the GJW status, plus that one later on today about the Run-on.

~~~ DB Happenings ~~~

Some times things have been added to the roster system thanks to the Herald of the DJB. The initial system of new robes has been setup and now if you login to the DJB website, under Administration, you can select what kind of robes you want under the Robe Construction Tool option. Of course, like the sabers and Warbanners, the higher rank you are the more you get to work with so its a good incentive to work for those promotions. If you check out the Grand Masters dossier, youll see he even has a new pimping custom robe.
Another addition from the Herald affects those at the rank of Sith Battlelord (SBL)/Obelisk Exarch (OE)/Krath Epis (KE). You can now pick one of many dual sabers or even staff-style sabers available under your Administration options. You still have to be one rank higher for custom dual sabers and a Dark Side Adapt for a custom staff, but its nice to have some standard ones to pick from at your current rank. Nice work again from HRLD Muz!
The Grand Master is back from his leave. If you need him for anything, hes available now by email or via IRC.
And there is a GJW going on still, yes. Gaming Nights are off and apparently the ICTE is cancelled as well. Take part in the GJW!

The GJW is here and its crazy, things are busy for me in real life right now too. All I can think of is that everyone needs to just do what they can, when they can, and enjoy what they can. Does RL come first? Of course, no arguments from me there, still, it doesnt take much to get involved in some of the events out there, plus the MANY, MANY to come. So just dont feel too bogged down with RL and things here, do what you can and dont over stress yourself.
