Dark Greetings All,

As most of you know by now there has been a lot going on this week. There have been some changes announced, there has been a lot of participation in the GJW, and there are a lot of aspects of the future of this Clan that are being looked at deeply by the Summit. In this time I would like to remind you that this Clan is not quite where we want it to be at this time. That means that things are going to change from time to time to see if something else will give better results overall. Please, please…have patience and resolve. I can say right now that some of the ideas that are going to be put into place are going to be big changes, stuff that this Clan might have never seen before. We’re working our hardest to move ahead and get this Clan where not only we want it, but where it deserves to be. We have a great Clan, with dedicated members, and we deserve better then what we’re doing right now.

Constancy of Purpose:

I must thank Lan for putting this fresh on my mind. With all the talk of goals and accomplishments that has been going on recently I thought that it would be a great idea for me to tell you what’s going on inside my head. I have quite a few goals set for my tenure as Proconsul of this Clan, and I now realize that these goals have never been shared with you. Only when we work together and strive to become better than we are can we accomplish our goals and take this Clan to greater heights. These are the goals that I would like to see accomplished in the next calendar year.

1) I want to see AT LEAST five members ranked PRT or below as of right now make it to DJK.

How I Intend To Accomplish This: By being there every step of the way with you. We have a lot of revamping coming up as I have mentioned, and one of the things that is going to change around a bit is our Envoy system. Last year we only had only two members that originally started in CSP make it from APP to DJK, Impetus and myself. When you consider the enormous number of APP’s that we get in a year that is simply a sickening number.

As the PCON, I will be here for anyone at any time. If you feel like you’re being overlooked for promotion then drop me a line on e-mail and let me know why you think you deserve a promotion. If you’re confused as to what you need to be doing for your next promotion then likewise, send me an e-mail and ask, or catch me on IRC. You can trust me when I say that I like nothing better than giving out promotions, but bear in mind that a promotion must be earned. No one is going to give you a promo for staring at a computer screen. In order to accomplish this we must all work together and put in our best efforts to get what we deserve.

2)I want to see a drastic increase in merit awards going out.

How I Intend To Accomplish This: One thing that I have always said about this Clan is that people are often overlooked for awards. In my year and three months in CSP I have not seen nearly enough people be rewarded for their efforts, either as a Leader or an active member. I intend to fix this with a very simple solution. I will personally be going over each dossier, each history outline, and every e-mail I get on a set day every week. My goal is to know what you do better than you do. :p There are many aspects of activity that I will take into consideration, which is to include: IRC involvement, mailing list involvement, message board involvement, Gaming Night, SIT, ICTE, ACC, House/Clan/DB competitions, ideas/suggestions to the Summit, mentoring new members, among other things. On that set day each week I will mark down who I feel deserves what and send in the recommendations. No one should be overlooked if this system works, but again, if you feel you have been overlooked then please, feel free to e-mail me and let me know.

3)I want to see an increase in House/Clan competitions being released.

How I Intend to Accomplish This: This feel under my idea for Competition Managers. Since then we’ve been working on ideas for something that Dakari has mentioned named the Consul’s Coven. The Consul’s Coven is going to be an amazing innovation that I feel will do great things for this Clan. We’re not going to release it until after the GJW from what I understand, so I don’t want to go too deep into the details of this, but I assure you that once this system is in place there should be no further problems with having high quality competitions out in every aspect of activity.

4)I want to see a new and completely functional website up for our members.

How I Intend to Accomplish This: This one is in the process of being taken care of. It was one of my very first goals as PCON to make this happen. I have been very disgusted with the lack of updates on our current website, and further irritated by our inability to do the updating that it so desperately needs. We had already begun plans to construct a new site when some controversy over our old site came up (as Dakari mentioned). If nothing else this has hurried our resolve on the matter. You can expect a new website up and running fairly soon as construction is already about half way completed.

5)I want to see some of our older and more experienced members step up and do what they can for this Clan.

How I Intend to Accomplish This: By showing you that your activity is no longer going to be overlooked. This goes a lot back to point number two and one. I feel like quite a few of our more experienced members have lost the will to compete and the pride that they once took in their Clan. It is my greatest goal to bring CSP back it its glory days. But I want each and every person reading this to understand that no matter what the Summit does, or says, or promises we can’t do it without you. I have an iron will, and I am very, very determined to make this the best Clan in the Brotherhood. But it doesn’t matter how much I try if you won’t try with me. This is the time where we need the experience and guidance that our oldest and most loyal members can bring to the table. I urge you to step up and help this Clan that has been your home for so long.

So that’s five goals, believe me, this is not all that is on my mind, but at two pages I figure this will do for now. I know that all five of these goals can be accomplished fairly reasonably. It will take our work and dedication, and it won’t be easy, but we can do this if we try. So how about we all work together and bring this Clan back to where it should be?

The Great Jedi War:

After the results to the Investigations event came out we have fallen back once again this time to 6th, last place among all Clans. It’s a disturbing turn of events, one that was completely unexpected to me. However, there are still a lot of events to be judged, and many of the events that are left now are events that I feel we’ve had a strong participation in. Some of our gamers have really been on point, but again most of our older and more experienced members seem to be sitting this whole war out (I did say most, not all). We have a lot of good gamers in our ranks that have yet to play a game for the war. We have people that I know can write that haven’t entered a writing event. Well folks, time is running out, and then events are winding down quickly. Let’s get in there and give them hell until the last event is closed! This is no time to lay down and die, put a few minutes aside a day to do something for this war, and let’s show them all what we’ve got!

Closing Notes:

Like Dakari, I have been very impressed with the amount of entries to this war that I’ve seen from the select group of people that are participating. Don’t think that this is going unnoticed, and don’t think that you’re participation will be overlooked among the grand scheme of things. To you, the people that have been participating, you have my thanks and my respect and my promise that soon all of your effort will be made worthwhile.
