The 'di Plagia' Clan Name

Being granted the Clan name is the highest honor any Clan can bestow upon its members. It is reserved for those members who have demonstrated the utmost loyalty, dedication, and activity. These are the best of the best, the absolute pinnacle of Clan Plagueis membership. They have demonstrated their dedication to the Clan over a period of time always counted in years, thus usually no more than 3-4 members receive the honor in any given year. They may have served as a leader or as a regular member, but their activity levels have always been in the highest categories within the Clan. Adding ‘di Plagia’ to you name never comes easy, but it is an award much worth striving for.

Granting Process

There is a very specific procedure that must be followed when it comes to the granting of the Clan name, it is hereby stated:

1) Several times per year the Consul and Proconsul will review the most excellent members of the Clan based on their personnel experiences and on recommendations from Clan members and leaders. They will apply the strictest standards to the selection process – sometimes they may not find anyone worthy. If they believe they have found members who are worthy of the award, they may, in the Sith tradition, choose two and only two and proceed to the next step.

2) After having chosen two worthy members, the Consul and Proconsul bring the applicants before the assembled ‘di Plagia’. They present their case for initiating both of the new members to the assembly and then the entire current ‘di Plagia’ vote. A majority must vote in favor of a member for that person to be inducted. If a majority does not vote in favor the member is not to be inducted, although they may be presented at a later date again.

3) If the members are approved by the di Plagia assembly, a copy of the request to the assembly along with the vote of the assembly are passed on the Grand Master and his Deputy, who give a final blessing. Then the members are guided through the di Plagia rituals, known only to those who have completed this incredibly difficult quest.

Once someone is given the di Plagia name they are bound to Clan Plagueis forever. They may not leave the Clan unless it is to travel to the Rogues, and then if they return - they may only return to their home in Clan Plagueis. The only time in which a member can be stripped of the di Plagia name is if the CoJ has found them guilty of high treason. Then the di Plagia assembly can be gathered by the Consul to vote on a revocation. The revocation vote must be unanimous for the name to be revoked from the member.

Every Clan Plagueis member should strive to be able to add ‘di Plagia’ to their name...although few will attain this highest of all honors.

_It is with great honor that I present the Clan Plagueis family name to two members of Clan Plagueis. These two members have proven their dedication and loyalty to Clan Plagueis with deeds and ability. Over the past year they have both worked to improve members they interact with and Clan Plagueis as a whole. They are truly the finest examples of membership within our Clan. Congratulations to Sith Battlemaster Aabsdu and Dark Adept Jonaleth Isradia. You have earned the right to be the first members in the history of our Clan to take on the name di Plagia. _

di Plagia: The Clan family name will only be awarded twice a year. Once in the month of July and once in the month of Christmas. From this point on, Aabs and Jonaleth will serve with the CON, PCON, and COFO as the approving authorities on the di Plagia family name. Drinks are on Jon and Aabs.

**Our Envoys are good: **Anshar has released a detailed report on the Dark Brotherhood's new member efficiency. This rating is based off of the number of new members that arrive at a Clan and go on to reach PRT. The goal of any Clan in the Dark Brotherhood should be to reach out to our new members and help them succeed in and enjoy their DB experience. The following percentages tell the story of just how well Orz, Raken, and Jaysen have done:

Whole DB: 6.5%

Arc: 4.5%

CNS: 7%

CSP: 5.2%

Taly: 6%

Tar: 5.7%

CP is at 10.5%!!!

In honor of they Envoy's success, they will each receive a merit award and the right to name the craft they earned in the last Envoy Challenge. Congrats Gentlemen.

Scorps Steps Down: Krath Priest Scorpius has stepped down from his position of HEK QUA. Scorps has been a stabilizing force in HEK and brought a period of prosperous growth to the house. Everyone in Clan Plagueis owes Scorps a debt of gratitude for his service. Thanks Scorps!

Aabs: The new HEK QUA is SBM Aabsdu di Plagia Dupar al'Tor (enough with the names). This was one of the easiest choices I have ever made as a member the DB. Aabs has been a dynamo of activity and ideas. Congrats Aabs.

Information Minister/Plagueis Chronicle Editor: I have received 1 application for this position. I will leave it open until I receive one more. The Plagueis Chronicle is the Clan newspaper and serves as an excellent position for those of you who want some responsibility but cannot get an AED or QUA job (damn those stable leaders). Send your applications to me.

Run-On Accuracy 2: Be sure to write your character in a manner that is equal to his positioning in the Dark Brotherhood. I should not see apprentices flipping dual bladed lightsabers around and I definately should not see Dark Jedi Knights kicking the hell out of Dark Prophets.

Raken=OMGWTFPWNBBQPEWPEWPEW: In case you missed the very large news post on the front page of DB website, Raken dominated the "Investigation" fiction competition. The fact of the matter is that Raken writes better than most professional Star Wars authors. Way to go Raken!
