"ZOMG! A report!"

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to my fourth Proconsul report in nine months. It's sort of become a tradition for me not to write reports, partly because of some obscure mental defect on my side, and partly because Halc already covers everything important in his reports. :P

Today, however, I've actually got enough interesting news to put together a report. So, here goes...

DB News:

• The GJW is obviously still running, but more about that later on in this report.

• MAA Kaek got promoted to Dark Side Adept - about time, too.

• Five new event winners were announced this week. Among them are our own KP Windos, who won the ACCLive event, and DJK Selene, who won the ACC event. Congrats to you both, excellent job!

Arcona News:

• After nearly 10 months, I've decided to step down as Clan Envoy. It's been nice, but it's time to devote more effort to my functioning as PCON.

• My replacement as Clan Envoy will be DJK Selene, the current Galeres Envoy. During her time in this position, she's proved that she's more than capable of handling it. Congratulations, Selene. I know you'll do great. :)

• This leaves the spot of Galeres Envoy open, but that has also been taken care of. JH Malidir has been appointed as the new Envoy there, and I have every confidence in his abilities.

• Some new arrivals this week, the most notable being former the former Combat Master and Herald, DA Cyris Oscura! It's good to have you back, Cy.

• Also, Devani was promoted to Dark Jedi Knight this week. Congrats!

More Important News:

Yes, this is more important than the rest. It's about Arcona's prestige, our standing within the Brotherhood, the activity and the motivation of our members. You guessed it... it's about the GJW.

We're currently fourth in the overall standings. Now technically, that's not so bad. After all, most Clans have a lot more members than we do, and to be honest, we fell on hard times a couple of months ago. But that's not the way to think. I know we can do so much better than fourth. I look at the scores and I see that we're within striking distance of CSP, and could even overtake CNS if we really tried. For all the criticism this GJW has been getting, some of the events are really quite good, while others are rather fun, or just very easy to do. Sure, there are always going to be events you don't like. That's fine - we don't demand that you take part in every event. All we ask is that you do as many events as you can properly do. Yes, a last-minute submission with relatively little effort spent on it is better than nothing, but don't let it negatively affect your performance in other events.

Speaking of events, two of them end today - in an hour, to be exact. The article and the GFX events. If you haven't done either of them, you could try your hand at one - both can be done in well under an hour, really. If you've already done them, or if it's too late by the time you're reading this, you might want to consider the Battleplan event. It ends on August the 6th, and I'm predicting that not a lot of people from other Clans are going to participate. We can score major points here, I mean it. And while you're on the site, take a look at all the other running events (I won't list them all, it'd get too tedious). You're bound to find a few you can do. And if we all do it like this, great things could happen this GJW... >:)

As a side note, I'd like to point out that there's currently an RPG Playing Phase going on. We've had one session already, and are going to do more - probably three more. Now, the nice thing about this RPG event is not only that it's fun (ask me, or any of the other participants in the first session), but that it has high rewards. Placement is done by Clan, so you don't get an awful lot of individual points (12 flat participation points for everyone who participates)... but the really good thing is that if we get a Nova, everyone who has played in at least one session gets a Nova. It's one of the most profitable events out there - and lots of fun. What more could you want?

Other News:

Well, so much for my GJW rant. If you've made it to the end, I commend you for your patience. I'd also like to stress the importance of being active in this competition once more. But enough of that.

• I'll be taking a leave of absence from August the 4th to August the 9th. I'm going camping with my best friend, and it's highly unlikely I'll have any Internet access during that period. I trust you can all survive while I'm gone - you'd better. :P
