SIXTH GREAT JEDI WAR ALMOST OVER
I think there's less than a week left to this war. We didn't perform how I had wanted us to, but as long as some of you had fun, then that will work. Speaking to others on the issue, I believe they're right that we have to take into consideration that we're still a young clan relative to the others. We've also endured some major uphevals in leadership and administration, though this is something often seen in any organization. I'm looking forward now to the coming months when we can focus on strengthening ourselves as a unit and being creative and interactive with our time here.
NEW PROCONSUL, SBM AABSDU
Aabs was the people's choice favorite and outstanding applicant and therefore selected by Sarin as the new PCON. Congratulate him and wish him success in his new role.
ACTIVITY
I've seen a lot of House activity lately with the taking of SA courses, submitting competitions, ACC battles, and finally some promotions. This is all a good sign that things are improving. Try to also look for things you can do that aren't as 'tangible' as taking a course, etc. Look for where you can help with things that need doing, answer questions, and ask some as well.
"EYE OF THE AEDILE" AWARDEE SELECTED
I know most of you had given up hope of ever beating the guy named "NO ONE" who has won it four weeks in a row, but someone has finally toppled him from his throne.

There are a host of new competitions flooding Clan Plagueis. There will be plenty of new things for you to do by simply checking them out and following their directions for some easy awards that could help you get promoted and move up in your career here.
When submitting competitions, remember to put [CP] before the actual title so our members can easily identify them. Thanks!
Please visit the DB Competition Page for all currently running competitions.
There is one remaining event open in the GJW. It's a "fun" event so pretty much anyone who can download the pinball game and rack up a high score can enter and score some points for our final standing in this war.
You can find the event and game here.

The Aedile sees all you do. To this end he will reward your service to the House and Clan. Catch his attention through your efforts and be rewarded. Fail him not. Be warned, the Eye is fickle and if none attract its gaze, none shall it see.
This week the Eye searches the ranks and focuses its burning gaze upon...
Arcadian
Arcadian will be the first recepient of this distinction. He has simply done a lot of _work _since joining and I'm sure he had a lot of fun doing it. For an idea of his service to the House and Clan you can take a look at his dossier. He's participated, created, helped others, and took on the often thankless position of House Envoy and Rollmaster. I could go on, but you get the point. If you need anything further to figure out why he's getting this, you can read the recommendations on his Star of Antei when it arrives.
With the GJW nearing its twilight, I'm going to be taking a hard look at others of you out there enjoying your time here and helping others. Honestly, especially recently, there are a few more of you out there on the verge of qualifying for this recognition. I'd like to see a name up here every week if I could, but this will remain a somewhat difficult accolade to garner. Help others and you will help yourselves.

I thought I'd branch out from DJB suggestions for reading material this week and actually talk about some Star Wars novels. Watch for spoilers though on the links below.
Some of my favorites I can strongly suggest, if you haven't read them already, are:
Shatterpoint Outstanding. Read this book as it's probably the most well-written Star Wars novel you're going to find. Excellent, gritty writing that really brings an edge to the sometimes "soft" world of Star Wars Science Fiction.
Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter Well-written and seemingly true to what the Darth Maul character should "feel" like. Maul does a lot of damage in this novel with some pretty decent action scenes. I liked how the author created an atmosphere of awe and reverence around the characters in the book reacting to the realization of an actual Sith in their midst.
Star by Star (NJO) I've read half of this sometimes tiresome series so far. This book is easily the best I've read yet, but probably due more to its placement as the 'midway point' in the overall story arc rather than the writing which is mediocre. There are some big things that happen in this novel and the link to it will spoil them if you don't already know what they are, so be careful.
