Hey everyone

Another week gone by and DB life trundles on. As you can see from the date on the lovely subject line of this email it is the end of August and after almost three months of continuous competition the GJW is at an end albeit you do have a while left to submit for the pinball special event there are apparently no more events coming through. Whilst the overall position in the standings isn't as high as we envisioned and hoped for I am pleased with how you have acquitted, you have pulled out the stops and participated in a valiant effort, thanks guys. The Summits and I will be showing our appreciation with all the silverware and shinies we'll be awarding ;)

Now after this comp has ended I'm hoping for a few quite weeks to reorganise some things and basically chill the heck out. Consider it a small vacation to get a bit of a breather from the DB ;) When you guys are all chilling on a beach drinking cocktails however the Summits and myself are already planning for the Tar history month in October, this is traditionally a month in which events are posted and issued so we can all get to grips with the full history of our glorious clan. On top of this we're planning something else competition wise for the Clan along and some other small random stuff to get you some more medals.

Cause I respect your ID lines and the desire to increase non-merit medals is strong in all of us I will be resuscitating a few comps, the Pecan funny stories comp (or CON as the case may be) and the Sudoku one we had running awhile back. For the funny comp one send basically a story or a screenie from any game you've played be it a Star Wars one or Pong I don't care as long as it has me giggling :P The Sudoku one is a relatively easy puzzle I'll grab from one of the local tabloids and convert it to Excel, you fill in the excel spreadsheet and attach your name and mail it up to me, first correct submission gets the medal, 2nd to arrive gets 2nd and I bet you guessed what the 3rd corrected submission gets ;p

If you like your medals bigger such as say a Dark Cross or two then please know you can grab one of these for every 4 ACC battles you complete, win or lose it doesn't matter all I'll stipulate is that the battle must be complete i.e you've posted your death post. If you want to quicken the procedure of getting a lovely DC then feel free to email me with URL links of all your finished battles and we'll do the reccing, otherwise it might take a while for us to go through all of your battles one by one checking them.

For all you football fans out there (or soccer as some of you heathens call it ;) ) Ocih has started something cool for us, our very own fantasy league on yahoo football. For more details drop him a line, please note that whoever beats my team in a week gets demoted to APP. Just a little incentive to pick a week side O:) Only kidding guys ;p

I'd like to finish this report by wishing everyone who starts school again next week a happy term time, also welcome Korras to the Clan he's Dutch so he can bring the weed and hookers I'll supply the sheep and last but not least enjoy the next week and stay safe.
