Horsemen of the Apocalypse – Report #16

Zarco stood before his teammates with a glass raised on high. The dinner had been great and all were reveling in the accomplishments of the past weeks.

“I toast Taldryan, Ektrosis and the Horsemen. We have seen the Clan victorious once again. We are fortunate to have served together in a clan that remains undefeated.”

Zarco kicked back his drink and continued. “This is my first report made to you in person. Heretofore our duties have always required that I communicate the business of the phyle to you by remote but today, because we came together to defend the Kr’Tal under the leadership of Master Alanna, we are together.”

“The contributions of the members to Taldryan’s victory have not been slight. Archpriest NexusMage saw action early in the campaign.” Zarco nodded to the human. Then there are Dark Jedi Knight Tiberius Serpentium and Jedi Hunter Ricco Vao.” Zarco nodded first to the white-haired, crimson-eyed human Knight and spoke of him. “Serpentium was ever-present and relentless in his engagement.” Tetrarch Zarco then nodded to the Chiss-Zabrak hybrid. “Likewise Hunter Ricco submitted for nearly every event and, in the midst of the carnage, achieved the honor of a position as eclectic pedagogue with the Shadow Academy.”

“Master Kaiann remarked in his announcement that Taldryan had prevailed that what carried Taldryan was the participation of its members when the personal win or Nova was out of reach. Consistent, solid submissions impelled Taldryan to victory. I am pleased that such steady participation was embodied in Dark Jedi Knight Serpentium and Jedi Hunter Ricco. They are the type of members that Kaiann spoke of and to whom Taldryan’s victory was credited.”

“We picked up two additions during the war. First, Jedi Hunter Fet’ai’narun has rejoined Ektrosian ranks with a spot on our team.” Zarco nodded to the Chiss and then turned to the new human face. “Acolyte Rosh ‘Sorrow’ Prototype joined us recently and his accomplishments are already many. He assisted us in the final stages of the war. May his activity continue and be of the magnitude of others honored here today.”

“Let us remember that it was the Horsemen that protected the Temple of Pomojema from those who would loot it in the confusion of the war. It was the Horsemen who protected the Kr’Tal system from Tarentum raiders. They speak of undeath and necromancy but now know the true taste of death that the name Horsemen of the Apocalypse heralds.”

Zarco’s personal communications device buzzed at his chest. He activated it and listened to the message routed by earpiece to his head.

“We are called to action once more. Let us rise to the occasion once more. I have been alerted that a competition has been called with the promise of vast reward, perhaps a diamond crescent. I provide you with the following coordinates and urge you to carry once more.”
