Greetings all,

~~~ Sixth Great Jedi War ~~~

The War ended at the end of August and we are almost past this now. The Master-At-Arms and Grand Master have put through the Seals, Novas, and Clusters of Fire for the War. You wouldnt get emails on those, so you will need to just check your dossiers on the DJB website. The Clan Summit awarded GJW activity a week ago. Im going to list those again just to say congrats one last time to everyone on a job well done.

We managed to win yet another Great Jedi War and it came down to the last event to decide it all. Thanks to so many of you getting involved in this we won this conflict and keep our title as First Clan of the Brotherhood and remain undefeated in the Great Jedi Wars! The only thing left to come out is the awards given to the Clans for their placement in the War; this will be fictional ships and such possessions. Hopefully those will be out this week.

Dont forget that a COMPLETE record of the GJW6 is on the GJW6 section of the Taldryan Archive. You can check that out, also many submissions from your fellow Clan mates during the War. If you have submissions you want listed on the Archive just send them to me in an email, Id love to add more.

~~~ Clan Happenings ~~~

House Dinaari has recently opened the Dark Fire Brigade back up to members. There have been call outs for younger members to get involved there, should be a great place to spark extra activity. KPN Seraine "Erinyes" Ténama moved over to Dinaari to help out in leading this group, so it has good, stable leadership all we need are you guys to get involved.
House Ektrosis has seen a new BTL appointed in Battle Team Hex. Newly promoted JH Hel-Pa Sklib replaces out going KAP Raistline Majere. Thanks to Raist for his time and effort. Good luck to Sklib, enjoy the spot!
Welcome to two former Clan Arcona members that transferred in a week or less ago. DJM Halcyon Rokir has joined House Dinaari and SBL Ma`ar-Tyrius Ga-Tir has joined House Ektrosis. Both have been in the Brotherhood a long time and currently hold good positions on the Dark Summit, Deputy Combat Master and Gaming Tribune respectively. Welcome to Tal!
Website Updates: I updated a few pages recently. Things like the Tal Codex, Join Us page, and About Us have been updated. Mainly this is just updated references to include our recent win in the Great Jed War. Remember you can always see what Ive updated or worked on by going to the Summit Plans page of the website and look under the Consuls Plans.

~~~ DB Happenings ~~~

The database has been acting up lately. For some reason people havent been getting emails on transfers, medals, or anything like that even though they are going through in the database and on the Brotherhood rosters. So if you are expecting something or have changed information, check the website to see if its updated. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

A reminder here that Gaming Days on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday need to happen in #DBGaming on IRC. You need to be in the channel to play, and obey the Rites of Combat. The Sunday Invitational Tournament (SIT) is every other Sunday in place of the normal Gaming Day and you can qualify to be in this by playing at least three members of another Clan during the Gaming Days or the ICTE before a SIT. Call to any Jedi Academy players in the Clan. The Gaming Tribune is looking for JA players interested in taking part in this event starting September 25th. Youll need to let me know if you want in and to represent the Clan before the 22nd so I can let him know he we have fighting for us. Check the link out for the details about the event so far. Jedi Outcast players can take part in this event later on. Clans will be given awards as well as the members for playing in this so I hope many of you get involved.

~~~ Clan Projects ~~~

1. System & Planet Update

General Timeframe: 09/12/06-11/15/06

QUA Kraval and QUA Chaos will be heading up a project starting this week to basically add a great deal of detail to our current Planetary system in terms of planets and moon information in general to more in-depth things on each of these location. There was work done months ago that was put on the back burner thanks to the Feuds and then the Great Jedi War, but now we can get back to those. There will be times in this projects they will ask you guys for your help or input on stuff, mostly through our Development forum. Ill be sending the information I have to them tonight so hopefully this can get moving shortly.

2. Tal Times, Volume II, Issue 2

Current Release Date: 09/20/06

As weve said a few times before, if you want to be a contributing member of this issue, just look at previous issues and either come up with something relative to anything you like there or even something completely new. The point is the Tal Times is for the members to put out awesome and sometimes crude humor for the Clan to enjoy. It may have its serious points at times, as this one will have a return to a storyline page, but its mostly just for fun and entertainment. We have much of this ready now, still working on bits and pieces though. If you contribute that would of course count for Clan activity.

3. Clan Taldryan Tallys 2006

General Timeframe: (09/12/06-09/30/06)

Thats the major stuff at the moment. Ill be doing a big AWOL Check very shortly for all those that didnt participate in the GJW. There are two other projects that I need to put together this week a bit and Ill email you guys on those later this week, one dealing with the Clan Order of Battle and the other on graphical work for Clan-related material. There may be other things popping up too, all will be using the Development forum whenever possible.

As far as member interaction with these projects goes, there are several open to many of you. The system stuff will have spots that you can help in possibly, the Tal Times is open to whomever wants to contribute, the Tallys will involve you, the Order of Battle will once its setup which shouldnt be long at all, and the graphical work will be open to those that are into that. All you have to do is take some initiative and get involved.

~~~ Consuls RRC #1 ~~~

This is a new competition I have up that will come out in every other CON Report, or something close to that. Consuls RRC, or Random Report Competition, can be anything from a web hunt, a puzzle of sorts, a simple and fun Run-on, or the classic Caption Comp. Whatever event it is Ill open it here in my report and itll run for a week. Fourth level Crescents are awarded to the top 3 winners during each running. Basically this is a fun little thing to have every now and then.

Better say sorry first for my spottiness lately since the GJW ended. Work has been a bit crazy and my computer has hit the end of the road. Ill be on vacation next week and should have a new computer then or sooner. Im catching up and should be back around more as time goes on. Thanks for bearing with me. These reports will come more regularly and shorter, I promise once again. =P

The last week or so has been a good time to relax after the almost three months of conflict with the other Clans. We have some small competitions going now as you can see, the Gaming Tribune will be starting something for JA players shortly, and we are starting several projects up at full speed once again. There shouldnt be anything major in the Brotherhood competition wise until late October most likely so we have time to enjoy some fun events, work on things, and I know this will help those that are getting back into school and such where time is getting a bit more limited. Ill be pushing the House Summits to try and run some more House-wide events over the next month so dont get too out of it though. After our awesome victory, you all have earned a bit of a rest.

One other thing, September 11th just pasted us by. Dont forget the many, many people that lost their lives in the terrible attacks five years ago on America. My thoughts and prayers are with those families still grieving today.
