Prologue

The Quaestor followed the sound permeating his mind to its source: The Dark Tower. Rising above him like an accusatory finger prodding the heavens for rhyme and reason, the monolith stood out starkly against the midnight sky.
Summoned to the halls of power, the Knight focused himself, steeling his mental barriers so that none would know his mind before he spoke. He would name Sith Battlemaster Daniel Stephens as his Right Hand to lead Satal Keto into the next age.
No longer would the House, nor Clan, resign themselves to live as bastards of a bygone era. Their star was in ascendance and they would make themselves known in the Brotherhood by one means...or another.

Daniel Stephens rejoins us as Aedile for the House. I got a lot of great applications that made my choice suprisingly difficult. A lot of you have made great strides in improving yourselves as leaders in the House, though not in a position. This is exactly the sort of thing we need and DS is a great role model for us to follow.

Please welcome these three new members to the House. Help and encourage them to explore the club and see just how much they can enjoy themselves here. Mako has even received a promotion already since joining by knocking out some of those easy initial requirements. Well done.

THE QUAESTOR'S HAND
You should have all the information you need for this in your email and on the HSK News Page. Basically this will honor the most outstanding member of the House each month allowing them use of the title "Quaestor's Hand, Hand of the Quaestor, Hand," etc. in your fictions, etc. It also allows the winners past and present to participate in an invite only run-on in the HSK Forum that I will moderate and direct for some fun.
[CP] MONTHLY FICTION
I like the idea behind This Competition and will be competiting in it myself. Obviously it's encouraging us to expand our characters and support the very nice DJB Wiki site. But we should be looking to do this anyway.
Part of the fun and experience is involvement. Involve yourself in the very cool Wiki so that newer members, and even some old ones, can easily search for all things DJB. Wondering what the Tripartite Path is? Search it. What is The Shroud? Look it up. Playing trivia and need an answer? There you go.
But for the competition, I know some talented writers among the Equites have already submitted their Character History to the Wiki. Are you going to let them win? Are you going to let them take your Crescent as they always seem to do? Or are you going to set aside a little time to devote to the fun process of writing out your character and show them not just every competition out there is for them pluck!
EMAILS
I switched to gmail and fixed my problems not getting DJB mail. I really like it so far. It's an odd system, but has some cool features like, IM'ing right out of the email app., etc. If anyone wants an invititation to try it, let me, or anyone with a gmail account know and we'll help you out.

We're steadily gaining members into the House. This is very good considering how few of us there are. I'm doing what I can to make sure these members, and the rest of you, know that their efforts here in support of the HSK are appreciated and will be rewarded. I suggest you aid them in their travels here and show them why CP maintains the reputation of "Friendliest Clan", which to me, means a great deal. I have no interest in personal drama in a pretend club.
We again have a full Summit after some time seeing many major changes. Myself, Kal, Garik, and Daniel are here to make this place more fun and interesting for everyone and will do all we can to that end. If there are things you would like to see that we're not doing, send me an email directly. I'm excited about having all these talented individuals on my team and seeing what we can do to really make improvements and change some of the more stale aspects of day-to-day Club activities.
I want you all to be thinking about the next major Club Competition that could be coming up very soon. I want to avenge our poor showing in the GJW and really make a statement. Another way we can let the DJB know that we are talented competitors is for our members to compete in the many smaller, yet Club-wide competitions such as the MTs, etc.
The October MT topics were just released. I'd like to see entries from us and someone win the damn thing =)

I ended up writing another planet for the Antei System when it was all said and done. Pretty much everyone involved, Sarin, Aabs, Orzon, and myself finished up by taking on a bit of additional work, but it should be worth it when they are released. Hopefully you will like the finished product.
You'll notice the Fleet page on the CP site has been updated with the new ship renders I did. Nothing too fancy, just cleaned up some, and a few I had to "build" from next to nothing as some of the more obscure ships don't have a lot of good imagery available to work with. Aabs has been putting in a lot of work updating the page and improving the formatting, so thank him when you see him.
I've also organized several aforementioned competitions for very easy Crescents.

Normally I abhor repeating information from other DJB news postings, but in this case I thought this was cool enough to emphasize again.
