~ As always, #plagueis is rated PG-13, so any sex talk or excessive cursing will be handled with a kick or ban. I don't mind some cursing, but there are nastier words that I hate, as well as a limit that many of you have been pushing lately. One or two curses here and there isn't a problem, but if you do it over and over again and people start complaining then it is a problem. Also, I myself do not tolerate the F-word, so I'd recommend not using that at all. House summit members have the ability to kick members who curse excessively or talk about sex, and then Sarin and I are able to ban those who continue to do it even after being warned a number of times. Also, to all those that join #plagueis, if you ever see Lenzar in any form you are to ban him immediately.
~ The Protector of Plagueis ACC Ladder is still running. Right now it's in Round 3 with very few participants, but participants nonetheless. To see who's fighting who, just go to the clan ACC hall.
~ Due to some members not knowing to behave at times, the clan summit has agreed to make the clan IRC channel op only those Aedile and up in leadership rankings. The Council of the Wise will also be opped, however. Our all ops policy has been in effect since Chi left the clan I believe, and while we all loved it we can't have it if people abuse the powers given to them by the almighty ops. Right now the current policy will change, but if everyone is good Sarin might just decide to let you all have ops again one day.
~ Sarin and I are currently working to try and get the clan more active as a whole. We all, most of us, know that when it comes to participating in competitions we're not exactly the best. Now, don't get me wrong, there are some out there who do participate, and I myself have made an oath to myself to start participating in more competitions. However, six or seven people aren't enough for the entire clan. There are around sixty of us here, probably back to fifty once the AWOL check is over, and having less then ten participate in a competition on average is bad.
Now, Sarin and I have some really cool ideas for future competitions, some of which may involve other clans and awesome storylines, but if we can't be sure that we'll get a lot of participate then it's a waste of time on our part to write up a competition for the clan when only one or two will actually do something with it. All in all, Sarin and I are going to be cracking down on activity. We, at least I, are/am stepping up, and I expect the members to do so as well. This isn't meant as a slap on the face, maybe more like the wrist, but merely a warning to let you all know that we expect a lot more. Sitting around on IRC all day or replying to AWOL checks whenever there is one yet doing nothing else in the clan doesn't count. Finally, for future reference, Sarin and I will soon be running a clan-wide AWOL check. Not like the last one that only applied to the younger members, but with everyone. The way this one will work, however, is not that you'll reply to emails. We'll send out an email saying that we will soon be running an AWOL check. After that, Sarin and I will base your activity based on how active you are. That means SA courses passed, medals awarded, time on IRC, being an active member of the clan. That way we can avoid those few people that reply to AWOL checks but then don't do anything while we let them hang around the clan.
Before anyone says, "Well what if we're on vacation and can't be active that week?" or "Just because we're inactive now doesn't mean we won't be active in two weeks or a month". Sarin and I know this. When we get together our list of people that are inactive, we will further base it on who we think really is inactive. That means who we think will become active, who just isn't around right now, etc. This is just a warning, but expect an AWOL check like this within the next month or so. Again, don't take this as if we're getting all mad at you, because we aren't. Just know that we expect more, or, to point it in another way, more then you've been giving
~ Remember to join IRC on October 29th for a Special Edition of Plagueis Trivia: mIRC Edition. This special night of trivia will have fifteen questions all about Halloween, with the same awards of two LSs being offered to first and second. Also, I understand some websites may offer different answers to some of my questions. As such, I'm going to be really nice. I'm going to give you all the website I used when writing my trivia. You can read the information, possible memorize, and then come trivia night you'll know everything without even having to use Google. This doesn't happen often, so I suggest you make use of it. Halloween History Website. Look, it's even got some music you can play while reading it :P
~ A new Shadow Academy course has been written by House Satal Keto's own Aedile Daniel Stephens. It's over Astronomy, and I've taken it and say it's really cool. I personally love space, so I loved the course, but it's still a great course overall. DS, could use some more stuff on planets, but it's still good. I really encourage you all to go give it a try, the exam isn't the hardest in the academy.
~ The DJB Wiki is a great tool, and I high advise you all to create your character pages. If you're confused, feel free to ask Sarin or me something, since we both know a good bit. Sarin, of course, knows more though since he was a founding father of the project. You can also ask the Tribune for the Wiki, which is Kaine.
~ As always, there's a ton of projects being worked on right now, the majority of which can all be found on the Clan Calendar, which Sarin and I update frequently, and the other leaders should start using

~ There's a lot of website edits being made right now. One is the Member Archives page now located on the clan website. Bubba is working on fixing the problems with the links, but if you'd like some of your work posted here just send me an email with the attachment. We accept stories, poems, and graphics, so come on down and share your work with the clan! We're also working on completely updating the clan fleet and clan history, so expect some cool things in the near future.
~ I'm still working towards getting all the Wiki articles set up. If you're interested in helping me with the Wiki articles, send me an email or PM over IRC. Thanks.
~ Don't forget about the Plagueis Chronicle! I'm still working on the October Edition. I'm very sorry for it being so so late, but it takes a little while to code each page by hand, and then when I only get a few minutes here and there to work on it... well... you know the rest. Anyways, it'll be out super soon, hopefully this weekend, and I'll make sure to let Bubba code them all from here on out :P
Also, the next issue is going to be a November/December double-issue. The reason for this is I am not getting as many articles as I would like to get. Only around ten to twelve an issue, and while you may think that's a lot it isn't when it only makes up five pages. Here's my goal for this next issue, ten to twelve pages, which means anywhere from twenty to twenty-five articles. Yes, that's a good bit, but you have until December 20th to write them and email them to me. That's exactly two months from now, I'm sure we can reach that goal in two months. Also, I really hope many of you will write more then one article, and that more will write articles at all. This goes along with that lenghty news post up there. We're looking for anything Thanksgiving, Christmas, in-character, out-of-character, clan news, DB news, whatever you can think of. Also, if you have an idea but want to see if it'll work, feel free to ask me and only me. I'm the one who decides rather something works, all the rest of my staff simply writes.
And while we're on the stubject of the chronicle staff. Effective a few minutes from now, everyone who is currently on my staff save for the Assistant Editor Tolter is no longer on the staff. However, if you are still active, would like to write articles, and would like your spot back, just email me telling me and I'll add you back in. Just remember you're expected to write at least one article each month about whatever department you run. Best of all, seeing as how this next issue covers two months what does that mean about your articles? That's right, you need to write at least two. Now, don't expect to get fired if you don't, because I won't force you to do anything, but that's the promise you make to me when you agree to join the chronicle staff.
When it comes to articles, pretty much anything clean works. It can be half a page or two or more pages, it doesn't matter. It can be in first person, third person, jokes, interviews, news stories, it doesn't matter. Just make sure it's clean. Right now, if you email it to me I can pretty much promise it'll be in the issue, especially with this next issue. Thus, to finish off I have two statements. First, I expect this double issue to be the best and biggest the chronicle has ever had. Second, this is just one way the clan summit is stepping up the bar a little. Thanks for reading this far, and if you didn't, well, that just shows that so far you can't reach the new bar. Think about that.
~ I'm also working on a Clan Epic Run-on that will run whenever I finish it. To put the plot simple, it will involve all of the clan enemies, which can be found on the House Exar Kun website but soon on the clan website, attacking the clans. It's going to be big, and a few of the people will die. I've only got a little bit written so far, but from what I have thought up it's going to be pretty sweet.
~ As usual, if you want to know everything that the leaders are currently working on, then look on the Clan Calendar. Here is where everything is listed, so I highly suggest that you use it as much as possible.
