Phew! It has been a roller coaster ride as DGM for the first ten days. I want to thank everyone for their support and I want to thank the guys that did not support me for sitting down and discussing our issues. For the most part, all is good. Thanks to everyone. <p>

I am a report guy and I like to put one out roughly every week. I think part of being DGM is letting everyone know what the hell I am up to. I try to keep reports to the point and detail oriented, although you will get a little of my real life in them. <p>

Dantes, Aristan Dantes: I am a Star Wars nerd. I am also a James Bond nerd. I also have a man crush on the new Bond, Daniel Craig. He was fantastic in Layer Cake, and he was fantastic in Casino Royale. I give big props to the Bond folks for taking a chance on him. <p> If you have not had the chance to go see the movie, go see it. It is the most realistic Bond since From Russia with Love, and it followed the book Casino Royale fairly well. I caught my wife squirming in her seat a couple of times during the movie, so I guess Craig is a pretty decent bond. <p> On a Philosophical nerdy approach, I dig Bond because he is an existentialist type of man. He knows his mortality, he looks at the absurdity of death, and he lives his life to the fullest despite it all. <p>

Praetor|Magistrates: 20 People applied for these positions. I was pleased at the level of detail in the applications and selecting a DGM team was a difficult task. In the end, the following put forth the extra effort in their applications and their opinion on major topics often mirrored my own. So, congratulations to :<p>

Praetor: Still up in the air. Sorry. I have not decided yet. I will pick one shortly. <p>

Projects: I put together a project list containing sixteen projects and sent it to Jac. The two of us then determined an order of merit on these projects. The four projects that we identified as "finish now" are the four that I will talk about this week.
<p> 1. KCB and Society of the Envoys: A lot of people have a lot of different opinions on what the Society of Envoys should be. Some even have the opinion that the Society should not exist and that new member management is strictly the purview of the Clans. My goal is to have three Courses of Action presented to Jac this week for the future of the Society. Anshar and I are working this project, and I can tell you this much right now, whatever we decide, it will be different from what the Society is right now. CoAs will be due to Jac in about a week.
<p> 2. Saga of the Clans: What the hell is this? This is the Clans' story that will be entered into the Dark Side Compendium. I went over the rough draft and it was very long. I have asked Macron to shave it down to the essentials. We are looking at finishing it up with a week or so. <p> 3. Antei System: The Antei System document weighs in at forty pages right now. Eventually this project will RETCON some confusing DJB fiction on our home system. I have just sent my final comments and notes on the project and hope to have it to Jac by the weekend. Big props to Trev for the work he did on this project before handing it over to me several months ago. <p> 4. Core Exams: The Core Exams are out of date and are going to be rewritten. Anshar and Co. are working this project and expect to finish the new courses in about three weeks. <p>

GJW: I have an idea. A nugget. A sliver. I have heard a lot of feedback on what people want in a Great Jedi War. They want it to mean something, they want it to offer glory, they want it to cause pain, and they want the story to be something they create, not something that is dictated to them. My goal is to do that. I am not interested in creating an excel spreadsheet and having everyone go play multiplayer games for a month and then total up the scores at the end. That is not fun. What I am interested in is creating something that people want to be a part of. My GJW staff is being assembled now, in a few weeks I will be approaching the Clans for feedback, and in a month or so the Plot is hopefully going to start filtering out. I also plan on putting out a date for the GJW before long. This way the Clans can plan around it. <p>
