The Quaestor looked up from his desk and said, "Come on in," to whoever was knocking at his office door. An engineer, presumably from the basement, addressed RevengeX, "Sir, the heaters are still knocked out, but they should be online in three hours. Power has also been lost in the training facility and third level of the Citadel." Revenge shivered and nodded, "Thank you, now get back to work." The engineer bowed quickly and left the office. The Archpriest, under three layers of clothes with a cloak on top, was still trying to bite back at the cold that enveloped the rooms and hallways of Acclivis Draco's Citadel. It was always very warm on Antenora, but a recent mistake in a ritual led to the oasis' climate being changed drastically. Revenge had sent a team of the House's most powerful Dark Jedi out into seven feet high snow to correct the situation. The blizzard had stopped the power generators from working and had even disrupted the never-used heaters. The Archpriest shivered again and skimmed over a memo regarding the opening of the Clan's ladder to be fought at the Combat Center on Antei. Putting the memo aside and picking up a clean piece of paper and pen, he began to write...

INTRODUCTION:

Another successful, glorious year, that was wrecked with instability for a month, for the House of the Rising Dragon comes to a close. And a new season begins. One that will harbor great victories and triumph for our family. One that will have drama, intrigue, deception and conspiracy. These things I can guarantee as it is the invincible law of the universe, which is most unfortunate. However, I can easily imagine Acclivis Draco becoming the dominant force in the Brotherhood and if we all work towards that, we'll do great things. I can guarantee that as well. As long as we can see the path of glory and unity and tread upon it after we are forced to take a detour, we are House Acclivis Draco. We are rising from the cold depths that we once resided in and we'll blow fire at the disbelievers. 2007, you better watch out! (And you better not cry. LOL.)

CLAN NEWS:

Expect some big changes around here! Be sure to read Consul Braecen's "State of the Clan Address" for a sneak peek at the latest developments. Major points: Assistant Envoys are disbanded; Consul's Coven shift (a few people got neat titles); ALL Battle Teams in the Clan are disbanded so that they can get a makeover; Clan Senate disbanded; CSP Army/Navy NPCs are getting a face lift through a competition (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/competitions.asp?ID=2240). The Senate is and will be undergoing some definitive work in response to several points raised by prominent Clan members. This is to clear away the misunderstandings and other dirt that has found its way over the Senate's silver platter.

HOUSE NEWS:

Expect some changes around here too! A few are scantly covered by the "State of the Clan Address," but more information will follow in the coming days: stay tuned! Much of what will happen will be based upon fictional progression because that is one thing that our House really, really, really, really, really needs. If you have any information (once I send out the first details), please contact me and anyone else you want to (I don't mind).

HOUSE DIRECTION:

We stand as one House united. There will be squabbles, conflicts, contrasting ideas and beliefs, but we stand as one House united. We're all on the same roster pages: the House Acclivis Draco and the Clan Scholae Palatinae rosters. In times of trouble, there is no Mother Mary to come and speak words of wisdom to you. Instead, there are your peers: Summits, Journeymen, Elders, Equites, whoever is also on those same rosters. We are one House, not several groups of poorly organized, conflicting people. United we stand as one House. We are House Acclivis Draco. When you need someone to lean on, lean on me. Lean on that sulky Sith over there. Lean on that weird Obbie kid, the little Krathie. Whoever there is because I guarantee that if the person you lean on is a member of this House, of this family that we have worked so hard to build, then they will not scorn you, despise you, throw you off and kick you into the dirt. If they do, they will get my boot stuffed up somewhere they don't want. But once they've calmed down, we will welcome them. That's that.

We stand as one House united and those who do not believe in such unity, such familial ties, do not have to. They will not be forced to. Maybe they seek temporary refuge; we will welcome them. Maybe they don't want to be close to a bunch of nerds; we will welcome them. Maybe they don't like us; we will welcome them. Maybe they hate our stinking guts and want to gouge out our eyes; we will welcome them. As long as they are a member of House Acclivis Draco, they are a member of our family and a member of any family is welcomed. A member of any family is respected no matter how stupid, arrogant or even hateful they may be or act.

We stand as the House of the Rising Dragon. Not the Groups of the Quarreling Dragons.

I'm glad to say that our House's DJB Wiki pages are fairly up-to-date and nicely trimmed. :) Of course, as time progresses, they'll need updating and maintaining. There are only a few sections on our Wiki pages that need some filling in and I'd like to encourage all members to contribute. As said in the State of the Clan Address, Battle Teams are disbanded until we can very neatly cut our diamonds, which shouldn't be too long, so developing fictional roles for Battle Team members is closed unless otherwise specified by our Clan Summit.

-House Descriptions Development

I wonder what the Citadel looks like... Wait, we have a Citadel? A training facility, too? But, I've never seen their descriptions! Exactly. There are not many descriptions concerning several facilities under the ownership of House Acclivis Draco, so a task force will be sent to observe each of these buildings and record their findings. A few artists may be sent as well.

-Fictional Backdrop

Ever seen CSP's Clan Prospectus (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/wiki/index.php?title=Clan_Scholae_Palatinae_Prospectus)? Wouldn't it be nice if HAD had something similar that detailed all the fictional aspects of the House? I think it would be. So get ready for some big fictional advancement around here!
