It’s been a great week for Dinaari and Taldryan as a whole. Two weeks ago I ranted about Taldryan’s slacking participation in the Gaming Nights, including a very noticeable lack of names in the SIT qualifiers list. Following the release of that report, Werdna copy and pasted that rant to an email to the entire clan, encouraging all of Taldryan to step up our efforts and remind the rest of the Brotherhood who is still the Best Clan. Since that email(and the emails that followed and continue to flow from Werdna’s computer) you have begun to reestablish yourselves in DB. In two weeks we went from having 0 qualifiers for the SIT to suddenly being the most active clan in the ICTE and put up a decent fight (especially for having just awakened less then two weeks ago). I’m proud of you guys! Now keep it up!

Dark Brotherhood News:

1.Muz made MORE new Robes!!! If you’re an Envoy, or a member of the ACC or GMRG then go check ‘em out in the Robe Construction Tool.

2.Muz also needs a new Praetor. Sin’Ichi is stepping down which leaves Muz in need of some help.

He’s looking for someone like this:

• A good eye for design and art

• A strong work ethic

• Time available to dedicate to Brotherhood work

• Capacity to work with others

• Ability to lead.

The ability to demonstrate these skills would also help your application. That is to say that if you have examples of your artwork, link them in the app.

3.Three new reports from the Dark Council are out: The HRLD report(Muz was pretty busy this week) the CM report, and(probably most importantly) DGM Sarin also released a new report.

4.SIT and ICTE results are both out, as well as new Gaming Elimination Ladders(see “Clan Taldryan News” for more details)

With Duga’s official and visible return to activity, there is suddenly activities seemingly pouring out our ears, and there’s beginning to be activity to match it.

Okay, well…Werdna beat me to it, so since he so very thoughtfully copied my rant, I’m going to(since he actually covered everything pretty well) use part…okay, MOST of the email you all got early this morning.(thnx Werdie) :

“First, Lucius is running some knockout tournaments starting next week (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/competitions.asp?ID=2300). He calls them 'ladders' but that is just wrong, wrong, wrong ...it's a knockout tournament. Because games are prearranged, you have to email Lucius which tournaments you want to be placed in (along with your name and pin number) to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. You have the choice of JO/JA/BF2/EaW and even swoop bike racing on JA (it's fun!).

As I said, games are prearranged and losers are eliminated each round. Games will be done in a best out of 3 fashion using standard gaming rules. Please, please, please sign up even if you don't think you'll win. You get regular CFs as you would on a gaming night and if a ladder has 32 people in it Halc said we could offer a Diamond Crescent rather than Ruby to the winner (probably the top 3...Luc sucks at communicating stuff...I can't even be sure if Halc agreed). You never know your luck too ...you may progress really well depending upon opponents and it's always fun to game.

Next, this weeks gaming days are on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday (all day, midnight to midnight EST ...on now, actually!!!) in #dbgaming. Sunday is just a regular gaming day this week, so if you can't play midweek or for ICTE then you can qualify for the SIT on that say (Sklib!). Rules for gaming days are you can play the same person 1v1 6 times max. 3 games for the same gathering of people for teams. A new gathering for teams counts as changing just less than half the people there (it's not a very set rule yet). Don't burn yourself out ...these days are for fun, CFs and SIT qualification (6 games needed).

ICTE was of course great for us and it would be great to see this carry on. I'm not technically ICTE staff too, but I'm helping Karel consider how to show clan results (and other clubs) on his results. Purely for bragging rights. So more than ever we need you to pop down on Saturday (noon to midnight EST 5pm-5am GMT) to #outerrim and kick some ass. I'd like to see us move from competing to dominating this time. If we're going to win something regularly then this is the one. The only way we can do that is better participation ...even if it's just for a few games.

On top of all that, we have the Taldryan Fragfest 2k7 with 1v1 JO Bryar games (Guns) with Tal people. And Team Fragfest 2k7 with team JO CTF that you can play with any DJB or ICTE people really. There is no harm at all if this happens to fall on a gaming day and you submit the games to them too. JO CTF is Taldryan's 'thing' so I'd recommend you all try it when you can.

With RoS in March, and GJW in late-April (so late, probably May or June :o) lets get regular gaming into practice for when it really counts. I'll not lie, other clans are looking scary ...not just because they are ugly, inbred cretins. “

Oh and don’t forget the Taldryan Battle Royal. It’s a new ACC Ladder to determine who should be the Taldryan Champion(no its not an official title, but the rest of the Clan will know you’re something special.) Signups are now and will be open until the 13th

Conclusion:

You’ve all been great through the past week, but this is just the beginning, there’s plenty of stuff ahead and so now we have to stick with and build on this week’s pseudo-comeback. Dinaari and Taldryan have awakened, now lets go get our coffee and show them what we’re REALLY capable of accomplishing.
