Well -- it seems that I have to post another one of these, as this virus is particularly deceptive.
Almost all of you are probably going to recieve an email saying it is from Microsoft that looks like this:
DO NOT INSTALL THE "PATCH"
If you do, you will be infected by W32/[Log in to view e-mail addresses]. It's a particularly nasty virus that messes with your exe files among other things.

PS. I didn't run the virus, but about 200 people at my uni did....morons.

A note in general:
Microsoft NEVER EVER AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES distributes updates by mail!
Several viruses make use of the tactic to claim to be a M$ update but a genuine M$ update NEVER arrives mailed from Microsoft. Also, do not open "Microsoft patches" a friend sends you. ALWAYS download those patches only from sites that have "microsoft.com" in the URL. Along the same lines, when you send a friend a patch, send a LINK. Not the executable.
It's really better for the health of your system.
