In the private command room of the Dark Brotherhood Flagship Autarch, the Dark Lord of the Sith stood staring through the forward viewports. He could see the flashes of ion drives reverting to real space as the last of the Six Great Clans arrived. The Rite of Supremacy would begin in less than twenty four hours and it would be a first of its kind. Instead of the internal Order conflicts, this Rite of Supremacy would determine what Clan would lead the Dark Brotherhood's future military operations. Afterall, this Dark Lord of the Sith was not a conservative Dark Lord cut of the Ludo Kressh variety. This Dark Lord believed that the pursuit of power lay not in the internal domination and destruction of the Six Clans, but in the external domination of those who would oppose the Adherents of the Final Way.

Turning from the Viewport the Dark Lord stepped into the hemispherical holocomm chamber and activated the ring of holocams, projecting his three-dimensional image to the Clans of the Dark Brotherhood.<p>

_Welcome to the Rite of Supremacy. For the next fifteen Days the Six Clans of the Brotherhood will compete for Supremacy against one another. The victor will receive the priviledge of leading the Brotherhood in the conflicts to come as well as the title of First Clan. In addition to these honorifics, the winning clan will receive a new Planetary System to add to their own. This system's location will remain a secret to all those except for the First Clan and it will serve as a haven as well as a source of valuable resources.

Go now, prove your worth to the Dark Brotherhood and earn your Clan a boon that will establish it as truly the Greatest Clan. _

Rite of Supremacy: The Rite of Supremacy begins tomorrow, 15 March 2007 at 1200 EST and will conclude on 31 March at 1159 EST. Competition details and rules can be found at http://ros.darkjedibrotherhood.com.

Right of Supremacy II: Fictionally this is the first Rite of Supremacy not to feature the Orders of the Dark Brotherhood. This Rite of Supremacy is a showdown between the Clans to settle dominance and position of favor for future Dark Brotherhood military operations. The event will take place just outside of the Shroud and will be under the direct supervision of the Grand Master and the Dark Council Fleet. In addition to the standard Clan Honorific of First Clan, the RoS will also be awarding a new SUPER SECRET planetary system to the winning Clan.

Great Jedi War: The GJW will take place two weeks after the conclusion of the RoS. Think of the RoS as a prequel to what is ocming.

DGM: I want to officially Congratulate Halc on his selection as Deputy Grand Master. Since his selection, Halc has jumped right into the shark infested waters and has handled DGM with exceptional skill. I look forward to torturing him for a long time to come.

MAA: I would also like to Congratulate Kraval on his selection as MAA. Kraval is cut in the same mold as Kaek and Halc and will continue to enforce the standard when it comes to Medal and Promotion approval. Welcome to the DC Kraval!

Quick notes on some of the conversations I have been a part of this week:

EHDB Transfers: Several of our old friends (or enemies) have returned to the DB in the past few weeks. I have been asked to clarify the official position on what rank these individuals are granted when they return. The policy, as approved by the DC is that EHDB Transfers will return to their rank at the time of the Exodus. For Example: a current EHDB Dark Adept would be returned to his 2003 rank when transferring in (so if they were a GRD at the Exodus, that is what they return to). It is almost as if the person has gone to the reserves since the Exodus and has now just returned. If you are keeping track, I was a Sith Warrior at the Exodus. :p

Complaining: The Dark Brotherhood has a few professional complainers. Unlike the majority of the DB, these people feel that their specific task is to complain about every event and project. Just so you people know, I am less likely to put up with your garbage than the past DB leaders. If you are going to complain without offering a solution to improve things (or perhaps offer your skills for the next project) then I am going to call you on it. If you complain in a mIRC channel, expect me to call you on it in a mIRC channel. Sorry guys, no free passes.

Complaining is fine, but I want people to offer solutions to problems. Its time for some of you to stop chucking rocks from the sidelines and finally get in the game.

Duty: I have duty tonight. That means I get to go back to work in a few hours to check and see if the Soldiers have burned down their barracks yet.

Pregnacy: Mrs. Darth Sarin is now 8 months and 1 week pregnant. Breathing techniques and pink stuff dominate my life.

Star Wars Toys: Hasbro is selling a Palpatine vs the Jedi Council members set. I bought it, it rocks.

Wisdom Teeth: They are out and I am out of Demerol. Thanks for all the messages asking how I was feeling!
