CNS Consul Report #41 - April 28th, 2007
Hi guys,
It's been a busy week for me IRL. I'm working on an important project at work, and I was told that I'd have a meeting with the bigwigs on Friday, because my boss told them that I was further ahead on the project than I really was, forcing to me to scramble and rush to complete the current phase of the project. Of course, I completed the current phase (prototyping) on Thursday, only to find out that the Friday meeting was canceled. Meh. Although, when the project is done, they'll have a big press conference, and you'll be able to see my work when that happens on the web. Yay Crystal Reports. :P
After talking with a member of the clan about it, it seems that a few people have problems emailing me because mails sent to a Comcast email address bounce back. I have no idea why that is, and I say that if it continues to happen, just email Macron ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) and he should be able to deal with whatever it is you want.
Total CON Emails: 24
Round One ends on May 4th, which is this coming Friday. To my knowledge (don't forget to email me and the other judges in addition to Malisane when you submit...I mean, it's not a big deal if you don't, but it helps me keep track of who's participating):
Total Fiction Submissions: 1 (Adrian Kiarey)
Total Graphic Submissions: 2 (Malik, Ylith) (btw, both submissions are very similar, except Malik's is cartoonier
Total Run-On Participants: 10 (you guys sure like the run-ons)

Oh yeah, and while you're on the forums, don't forget my Slurpee poll:

I'm surprised that nobody said Pina Colada, because my friends IRL seems to like that flavor the best. I personally can't stand the Pina Colada. I think I've had the Cherry one as well, and I thought it'd be Cherry Coke, but it wasn't. I didn't like Cherry. Oh well.
Don't forget that the deadline for the Rite of Supremacy survey is May 5th (Saturday). Decent responses (stuff adding up to a couple of paragraphs) gets you a Quartz Crescents. I've probably had at least a dozen responses already, which is great.
I'll post the survey again after this Consul Report.
You know what's been lacking in the last few weeks? Shadow Academy course passings. So here's my promise to you guys. I will attempt to pass a Shadow Academy course each week until I've run out of Shadow Academy courses to take (I will not take the Poetry one, for example, because it pains me). Actually, I have a great idea! I'll post a poll on the forum, and you guys can vote on which Shadow Academy course I have to take next! I'll get started on that after I finish this report, and let you guys know.
But come on guys, especially you younger members, Shadow Academy courses are usually one of the key requirements for promotion.

The big news was that Malisane, Quaestor of House LUdo Kressh, was promoted to Sith Battlemaster this week. Malisane joked that unlike Goatham, I don't make big speeches when promotions happen. Well, I don't. However, I can say that a lot of people felt that this promotion was long overdue, and I'm glad to see that it finally happened.
There were 2 lower level promotions this week as well.
Hmm, it's been a while since I've had gaming to report.
Well, NOV Juventus earned one CF during gaming nights this week.
Hmm, I've found myself with more to report this week than I expected. I guess that's a pleasant surprise. I spent the day buying some new clothes, because I dress like a bum and my job requires me to dress like a professional. Part of that project I'm working on. Meh.
I did go to Three Brothers though. Italian-Pizza type place. I got the Lasagna, because I always get Lasagna at italian places. However, my friend got the cheese-steak thing, and that looked awesome.
I also bought six CDs this month. I hadn't purchased any CDs all year, and I found out that I'm getting more of my taxes back than I expected, so I thought I'd finally splurge. Not to mention, the new Dimmu Borgir and Nine Inch Nails releases gave me the excuse to just purchase a batch of albums. The Nine Inch Nails album has a toll free number, and I want to call that number sometime.
