House Caliburnus Quaestor Report
_ May 8th, 2007 _

Children of the Sword,
_ There was a sudden silence when the Quaestor wrapped up his presentation. The unimpressed and cynical Senate sat postulating, sure to deliberate the matter in question. Avoiding an open display of agitation, the Bakuran calmly nodded to the Consul. He was a polished and distinguished man, who, in spite of his attempts, looked the most fearsome when he was deep in contemplation. With one look, Thran knew the outcome of his request. Though they had been friends for years, there was a certain rift growing between them and it showed in his eyes.
Thank you, Quaestor. We will review the documents you have presented and get back to you with the decision. This is a large investment, you must realize. As a result of the recent conflicts with our Clan, we are financially strapped. We want to ensure that this project and the subsequent construction there after will be truly beneficial to the Clan. There are many concerns that we must address, and many considerations to be made. Thus, it will take us sometime to reach an acceptable conclusion. Although you are a part of this council, we request that you take leave at this point. Your conviction and desire to see the construction of an outpost in the sectors in the space near Ptolomea are clearly noted and will be taken in our discussions. You may remain on the premises, if you so choose, but you may not be present during the hearings. We will notify you when we have come to a conclusion. the Proconsul recited, reading the written will of the Senate.
The temperamental Sith bit his tongue, holding back any scathing remarks. He would have, if he could, strong armed the Senate into seeing it his way. But, this was a fight he could not win. A simple bow punctuated his departure and discontent with the council. His boots clicked in a cadence fit only for a metronome as he left the large room, cursing every last one of his esteemed colleagues. The zombie-esque drones that protected the chamber closed the gate behind him. Along with the rest of Thran's personal entourage, Cethgus sat waiting.
Good news, lord Quaestor? the newly elect Equite mused, unaware of the proceedings.
Occasus grabbed the boy by the shirt, shaking him furiously. I am not your lord, moron. he spat from behind a snarl. Controlling himself before he struck his Housemate, Thran let the Obelisk go. Silently, Tyno smiled, content with the discontent of the Quaestor. Thran took a deep breath, avoiding looking at the smug Knight. All of you, return to Ptolomea. Prepare the Vision, and wait for further orders. We have work to do. Go. he said, oozing with anger. As the group bowed, save Tyno, Occasus hissed again. NOW!
As they scurried off, Thran grabbed Cethgus again, holding his collar tightly. Comlink, please.
The Templar smiled, passing the small device to the furious Quaestor. Releasing his grip, Thran spoke into the small silvered comlink Darling, gather my banking information.

MONTHLY FOCUS
This month's monthly focus is going to be on Managing projects. As the Quaestor, I do a lot of this. However, if you look into the Inside Editions, you will see that I hope you all can begin to do a lot more too!
Managing a project may seem like a huge undertaking, and it can be. However, if you use a solid scheme of preparation, it can be a lot easier to complete tasks. I have a personal routine that works for me. Lucky for you all, I am going to share it with you!
When I prepare for a project, I always begin with an outline. By outline what you plan to achieve, you can easily make checkpoints for your progress. When outlining a project, be sure to begin with the very basic steps. Your first basic step should always be compile background information, because you can't build a house if you don't have some foundation! When compiling background information, don't forget to site your resources. You never know when you will have to credit something to someone, or when you lose a valuable resource that could be handy again later.
After you have compiled your resources, start filling in the basic steps. Remember, if you break down a bigger step into smaller parts, it is easier to make sure you don't miss anything! Never be afraid to break steps down! Outlines work really well for this stage because you can easily divide bigger steps into smaller steps, without losing you overall goal.
In addition to making your life easier, making an outline of everything you plan on doing in one project gives your superiors an awesome guide to see what all you have done. Of Course, when that happens, it is much easier to promote you! If you present a complete outline, it gives everyone a clear picture and a good reference for the progress of a project. Now, you don't have to use an outline, but it seems that it is a good choice.
Until next week,
-Thran

GJW PREP!
CSP Summer Games! The CSP games are here! . Braecen has created a series of games that we can run to give us medals and all sorts of fun things. GO DO IT!
Project Pool Are you looking for something to do? Are you tired of the same old droning competitions? Would you like to donate your time and effort to the House? Well, Soon The Project pool will be posted on the Caliburnus Forum. Look for projects that interest you and contact the Overlord of the project, who will give you a task! The goal of this is to get the House involved in changing the face of House Caliburnus.
I have decided that House Caliburnus is going to be the point of authority for the clan's naval proceedings. I have commissioned a top secret construction site somewhere near by! What could I be doing? Why Is my report fiction getting stranger? Why?!?! I'll Tell you! Because I want to establish HC as the Most Bad Ass thing ever. (Like we haven't all ready.) The goal is to construct more for HC. In this case, a Space Station! Tune in for more!
Revamping of the House Maps. Now that we have a map...I want to up the quality...So look for those in the future. Ras has been busting her chops (as well as mine) to crank out some new maps. We are also going to doing similar things with the Facilities on Ptolomea's Moon as well as the space station. I am kind of a map fiend, so expect to see lots of them!
Created images of the Houses Facilities, other than Maps, are in the future as well. If you are an accomplished Graphic Designer or you can draw some things on Photoshop, connect with me so I can possibly exploit you! And by that I mean...help me Graphic Artists...You are my only hope!
Regular reporting!
Some work with the Clan Menagerie, If you are interested in getting involved email me or contact me on IRC, I could use some minions! It would consist of basic writing tasks, imagination, and having to deal with me. I am officially moving into the next steps of the Menagerie project. I have to settle on some details, but it will involve the separation of the creatures into the Respective houses. I hope to do something in the spirit of the NFL (American Football) Draft, just to spice it up! :P
I am going to be posting some polls on the Forums. They don't so much have a point, but are fun to do.
Does anyone who does graphics want a medal? Well, If you do...Send me a bunch of graphics for my reports! Use the headings you see here...and be sure that they are...BAD ASS! (like me, I wish :P)
Maybe some other top secret things...But If I told you, they wouldn't be top secret...
TOP SECRET SHITE!
The Sudoku Puzzle!
Here is a sudoku puzzle! Read my reports, complete the puzzle and send me the answers! The winner gets a shiney medal :)
