Members of the best House in the Brotherhood,
since someone glares at Braecen wants reports done, that's what you shall get. I'll be frank - I am not a fan of the weekly report since I rather believe in saying something when (and only when) I have something to say, but I guess I'll just have to come up with something to say every Friday. Blame the Consul if it's random ramblings of an old man about the state of the House, the Clan and the Brotherhood as a whole.
Keyword of the week: Olympiad.
Yes, there's seven events still open for like two and a half more days. And since the Consul glares - HIM again has promised everyone who does ten or more events a shiny, this will be a great opportunity for you to get one.
http://stormraven.org/CSPOlympiad.html has the grisly details and all the events number six and up are still open. Do some today and some more tomorrow.
Antiwords of the week: Verbal Abuse.
This is a point that really causes me some headaches as well as some other pain. What is going on in the Brotherhood right now is appalling and it sometimes makes me wish Scholae Palatinae were not part of this club. And what's worse, CSP is a primary target of those who don't know how to behave like human beings.
What I ask of you is: Don't get dragged into this. It may sound cruel, but: SUCK IT UP and don't pay back. If I had not done so for three months straight, GJW6 would have ended a third of the way through. But now there's one big difference to back then: We now have a Grand Master who will not hesitate to go after those who choose to behave badly. And to you that means: Sit back, take the insult, smile, save the log, send it in. Then wait for the CoJ to do their job. You'll be the winner every time.
Really. Don't let them get to you, let the CoJ get them. And hopefully, in not too far a future, we'll have a clean Brotherhood. I for one am looking forward to the day and finally having hope for it too.
Thing to start getting excited about: Erm... how to name it... let's just say "the competition" :)
From May 26 to June 9, Acclivis Draco will see an adventure like none before in the history of the House. And one member will be the hero of the House at the end.
The gist: Every day, you get two tasks. They're small, quickly done. You choose one and do it as well as you can. Or, if you want to, do both and leave it up to the judge to score the one you did better at. At the end of the day, you'll get points for your performance - and at the end of the two weeks, one member will have accumulated the most points. For lack of a better word, that one will be called "winner" :)
So clean out half an hour every day for the Brotherhood in those two weeks. You'll not regret it. And you'll get used to what it takes to be a winner in the GJW: Doing a bit every day.
And to make this more interesting, I'll throw in secret caverns, weapons, a light Jedi or three, some pirates, monsters, lightsabers, a few dark secrets of HAD's past and random other goodies. As a DJM, I have the right to make those up, you know.
Oh, did I mention that the best works of earlier stages will influence how the later ones go? No? Well, I guess now I did.
Things on the to do list for next week: Too many.
Prepare the competition
Check who of you needs promoting. (If you want to influence that and you're of one of the beginning ranks, a SA test or three may help. And a bunch of Olympiad entries may help even more.)
Make a few more Olympiad entries of my own (They call that "leadership by example". Don't let that fool you, I just want the shinies. So don't think of making an entry better than mine and stealing my medals. Oh wait, you want that medal too? Well, then better put in an effort...)
Make an ACC sheet for good old Nathaniel, just so you all can go and lose to me. Errr... beat me. Errr... whatever, may the better writer win.
There, House. Random ramblings from an old man. And I get to call it a report. Hooray.
