First report as DGM, and on time for Friday, too. <p> There's not really a whole lot to report on, as I've only been DGM for a week, so a lot of this will be quasi-introductory.<p> So, I'm Muz, former HRLD-ish person. I hail from CNS, as my name suggests, where I was QUA of HMR for about 9 months and then PCON for about the same period of time. I was also Praetor to both Kaine Mandaala and Cyris Oscura when they were Herald. When Cyris retired, I was made Herald. I served as Herald for about a year and a half, and did quite a bit of work there.

The new robes selector and saber selector are full of my work, so you can see my work on your dossier with a few clicks. I also made the Lightsaber Combat Guide with Xanos (The guy who was DGM before Sarin was), so I've got quite a few projects under my belt already... and I still have a few that are en route. Of these, one of the first things you'll likely see is a hand-to-hand combat guide, similar in layout and scope as the lightsaber guide. Actually, that one will be a bit bigger than the Lightsaber guide, as there is more combat styles. Exciting stuff, and it's looking good in the draft stage so far.

Personally, I'm pretty easy to get along with. I don't play the stupid political games a lot of people do around here, and I try to remind people that this is a Star Wars Club, and we're all here to have fun. I do recognize that a lot of people do invest a lot of time and energy into it, but I don't think that having tantrums is a good return on that investment. So, if you have a problem with something, you'd better have proof to back up what you're saying, and a viable route as to how to deal with the problem. You know...common sense stuff.

In the real world, I'm a graphic designer and salesman. I work pretty normal hours, usually back home around 7 pm EST. I have done supervisory work pretty extensively in the past, so I'm no stranger to management, in the real world or the DB. I do check my email pretty regularly throughout the day, so that's generally the best way to get ahold of me if you need something. Also, I'm going to try and put out a report every other week at least.

*what projects you have seen through to completion

*what ideas you have for the brotherhood

*what your strong suit is

*what you had the most difficulty with

*tell me about how you overcame difficulty to complete one of your objectives

*if you worked in a circus, what you would be. And yes, I'm being serious here.

I did hold a competition that ended last weekend. I did grade it, and the following people won:

Congratulations, guys. These were a lot of fun to read, even those who didn't place. Medals are on the way.

Similarly, this month's monthly topics are pretty interesting, too... go give them a shot.

There's a few people who were 'promised' stuff from me, in the way of custom robes, mostly... I'll still be doing those, so don't bother Kaine about it.

And I will be converting over the old HRLD blog i had for a new 'DGMly' blog. And yes, I'll be doing the occassional blog contest with cool awards (which may contain custom robes), so keep an eye on that, too.
