INTRODUCTION:
"House of the Rising Dragon: Where Perfection Becomes Habit"
Major props to Uzbad for coming up with the new House motto! ;)
In order to better make the news sections of my reports readable/more organized, I have decided to separate them into ordered lists. I have tried to make this report shorter than usual so I can start writing these babies every two weeks... like I'm supposed to. >.> Maybe every month or so, you'll see a usual long report.
As you may have noticed, I did not include a little story blurb. I plan on only doing those occasionally when I'm bored. ;) My apologies if you liked the little stories.
CLAN NEWS:
1) Fionn dan Locut'Hal has been appointed House Caliburnus' House Envoy. Congratulations to him!
2) Clan Envoy Zeron has sent an email to all participants (Masters and Sutdents) of the Master/Sudent Program that outlines his expectations for each pairing (weekly and monthly reports). Masters who fail to meet the standards will be removed and their Students reassigned.
3) The full results of every Summer Games event have been released! There were over 170 individual entries, over thirty participating members, and over half of the entries came from HAD members! Congrats and thanks for making this such a successful event. :)

One Hundred And Two entries... with Twelve events. That averages out to a little over eight entries per event... That is amazing! And remember, this was HAD alone. If we can go out like this in the GJW, we will be, at least, solid silver.
HOUSE NEWS:
1) Missio Draconis - a House adventure event organized entirely by your Aedile, Nathaniel Palpatine, that spans two weeks long and contains two events every day. Missio Draconis is an event that is supposed to train House Acclivis Draco for the upcoming Great Jedi War (tentative date: July). It stresses three very important traits that we need to have in order to be successful in the GJW: "speed," "endurance," and "participation everyday."
2) Rollmaster Cuchulain has taken an extended leave of absence and Assistant Envoy Ood Bnar Sythe'rae will cover for him throughout his leave. We wish you the best of luck, Cooch. :)
3) House website - I have shown you guys a preview of the admin interface. I still have a few more scripts to write and a lot more pages to create and test. Check out the "House Projects" section of this report for a bit more information.
4) The gaming night of May 29th was... not as great as I had hoped it to be. Nine matches were played from CSP, and three of those came from HAD. Major props to Syphoc for representing us. :) To the rest of you who own games (and myself), get your butts in gear and start hoarding those shiny CFs.
5) June 2007's topic for HAD's "What if..." competition is: "What if CSP was disbanded by the Dark Council?" A few starting questions: "Where would you go? Would you try to resist?" Your entry may be in the format of a story, poem, or image.
ORDER OF THE DRAGON:
Story time!
A cloaked figure sat in a large, overstuffed armchair in House Acclivis Draco's library, rows of shelves filled to the top with books in front of him. In his lap and supported by his hands lay a large tome, entitled "Kilgore Ridge - Ecology, Geography, Society, and Culture," containing hundreds of yellowed pages. An extended finger traced a diagram of an intricate copy of a tunnel system that had caved-in several years ago. The man sat there muttering to himself as his finger followed the maze of lines.
Someone cleared their throat above him. "Uh... sir, you requested my presence?"
The finger stopped moving and the man looked up at a woman with hair that mimicked the colors of fire. "Indeed, Mayda. Sit down and make yourself comfortable." He placed a piece of paper into the book to mark his place, closed it, and put it on a small table. The Epis laced his fingers and together, settled his elbows onto the armrests, and leaned backwards, letting his gaze fall onto the Jedi Hunter who sat in front of him.
There was an uneasy silence as the two of them sat there, watching each other for any hints or signs. Mayda fidgeted in the armchair under her Quaestor's gaze.
When the silence had become nearly unbearable for the Jedi Hunter, RevengeX began, "Since joining the ranks of Acclivis Draco, you have competed with your fellow Clansmen with enthusiasm and skill. We are glad to have you, unlike your former 'friends,' Clan Plagueis." She sat unmoving.
"Now that you have shown me that you are far superior than your peers and that you excel in nearly every area of your training, I believe that you are ready to take the next step. Although you are at the threshold of obtaining a lightsaber, I have another opportunity that you can take that might help you get that saber and earn the rank of Knight."
Mayda leaned forward, now intrigued at the prospect of being able to advance and gain more power, faster. RevengeX stretched out to the Force and touched her mind with whispers of emotion and persuasion.
"I can offer you a way that provides more opportunities... and thus, you can get that lightsaber sooner."
"What kind of offer?" Mayda blurted out, unable to contain her excitement.
"An offer to join the Order of the Dragon. We need the contagious enthusiasm that you have exhibited and we need the inspirational creativity that you can offer. We need you, Mayda. But remember, you answer to the Quaestor of House Acclivis Draco, and none other."
"Done!" she squeaked, now on the edge of her seat and almost falling onto the carpet.
"Excellent," RevengeX said as he sunk further back into the chair. "Then I dub you the 'Fang of Fire.' Go find Impetus, the yellow-skinned Twi'lek, and I'm sure that she will fill you in on the details."
I, Quaestor of House Acclivis Draco, hereby recognize Jedi Hunter Mayda Ferium for her outstanding activity and enthusiasm. Since joining Clan Scholae Palatinae from Clan Plagueis, she has maintained very high activity levels and managed to accrue twelve Crescents and three Legions of the Scholar over the course of one month - a notable feat for any Dark Jedi. She also participated in EVERY event that the Summer Games offered.
On this day, by my hand, I induct Jedi Hunter Ferium into the Order of the Dragon, Third Class, as the Fang of Fire. Congratulations, and keep up the excellent work. ;)

HOUSE DIRECTION:
Familiarity and closeness - two traits I want to stress in House Acclivis Draco.
I don't know about you guys, but I hate it when "leaders" seem so distant from the general membership (in the DJB and in other companies/organizations). It makes them seem insincere in a way when they congratulate someone on a job well done, or thank someone for helping on a project.
However, it's not only a "Leader - Member" relationship that we need to cultivate, it's a "Member - Member" relationship. CSP has always been pretty tightly knit, but in the past few weeks, it seems like we're becoming more distant to me... If we want to progress, we need to make sure that we stay close and together.
That's why I try to recognize individual members in my reports, I try to create a sense of sincerity and closeness because that's how I feel. We need to cultivate these feelings in our environment so that we don't suffer as a whole. We need to remember that we're teammates, family members, and sincere friends.
'Cause you guys rock my socks.
