It's been pretty slow around here for the last month, which I blame school for. I know that I was busy with finals and moving back home, and most people have finals and papers/projects around this time of year. Try to step it up next month, we have the GJW coming before too long and Taldryan needs our help to crush the rest of the clans.

One interesting piece of news that I have to share with everyone is the revival of something that was done before Archanis closed down. Every month one member was highlighted as the most active in the house and was given the title of Sith Champion to show that fact. Times have changed and Archanis is no longer just for Sith so while the concept remains the same the name has been changed to Champion of Archanis. The title is the only reward that goes with this (read: you aren't going to get a medal for being the Champion), it's simply a way to show the rest of the house who the most active member is and give the a nod to show that we recognize their contribution. The most active person is determined by a point system. The point breakdown is as follows:

Creation of graphics (banners, images, etc.): 5-30 points, BTL Discretion based on quality

Creation of fiction (stories, plot lines, etc.): 5-30 points, BTL Discretion based on quality and length (most be posted in the Writers Corner)

Website design: 20-40 points, BTL Discretion based on quality

Squadron/House/Clan Website maintenance: 2-10 points per week, BTL Discretion depending on complexity of the updates

Shadow Academy Course: 15 points

Battle Design for TIE, XvT, and XWA: 50 points per battle

Mission Design for TIE, XvT, and XWA: 15 points per mission

Wins in official MP competitions: 10 points per win

Winning a competition with another battle team: 30 points per win

Relevant Message Board Posts (DB/Taldryan Message Boards): 2 points per post (BTL Discretion if applicable to award)

Other points may be awarded for other activities at the Quaestor's, Aedile's, or BTL's discretion

Most things have a range of points available, which is to allow for varying quality and complexity of what's been done. A 2 page fiction may get around 7-10 points while a 10 page one may get closer to 30. Along the same likes, a poorly written story will get less points then a well written one. The BTL(s) are the ones who award most points, so they judge how many points they feel an entry is worth. If anyone feels that their entry should get more points then it was given they are welcome to talk to FK and myself, we'll review it and let you know what we think. Also, the last line is very important. All activity counts for Champion points, but only the more common types have been listed. If you do something that isn't on the list then report it to your BTL, FK or myself and we'll figure out how many points it's worth.
