CNS Proconsul Report 6/3/07

Well, the Attacking the Clones competition is over. This was a lot of fun; I really enjoyed the theme and story. That is what this club is all about- having fun. And in my case, being a nerd. Hee hee. Thanks again to all who participated. And remember- this time, I played instead of judged. My tally was this: Round one, run-on. Round Two, run-on and fiction. Round Three: graphics, run-on, poetry, and fiction. I guess that is just how I roll, as they say. We’ll see what happens. I saw some excellent posts in the run-on from many people.

An especial Kudo to Sai, who impresses me every time with his run-on writing. Well done, amigo.

Oh yeah- congrats to Sai as well again, on the new family addition. The Stormpooper is in the house! Mrah! Yayy! Just wait ‘till the young’un uses telekinesis to fling it at ya. Heh heh.

Congratulations to Ashia, our new House Ludo Kressh Quaestor. I’ve known Ashia for a long time, and she is very competent. I have ultimate faith that the House will thrive in her capable hands. And, Malisane did an outstanding job as QUA. One of the best, in fact. Much kudos to him. You know, HLK has a long history of Quaestors with lengthy and productive tenures. I think Manesh mentioned that.

Announcing my new upcoming competition: Macron’s Black Guard! This gets opened to able-bodied challengers every few months. In the past, I have done fiction and poetry. This time, it will be a graphics fest for all you image geeks out there.

Look for the announcement soon. I know we have some serious talent in this Clan in that respect, and I hope to see you folks shine. That means you!

I have seen a tremendous amount of Shadow Academy courses passed recently. That freaking rocks. I have 2 more on my own plate at the moment, and hope to have time to do them now that the competition is over.

Our collective sympathy goes out to Quejo, who is having computer issues. Poor fella- hope it gets well soon!

Announcement: your Proconsul is looking for a motivated apprentice. If you think you have what it takes, drop our Rollmaster Shin’Ichi and I an email with your thoughts. Shin is in charge of the program, and is an excellent resource for any of you that want to gain more Dark resources. Talk to him- he’s a good fellow and help guide you along the path to power.

I like to lead by example, so… what have I been up to? See the above competition news for part of it. Also, joined the DV staff as a technical writer and editor, wrote 2 articles for same, tweaked a Wiki page or two, am starting a new competition, sent some emails, wrote in the forums, finished my custom lightsaber write-up, compiled a collage, did a little bit of IRC, and I think that is it. I probably forgot something too.
