_Orv Dessrx d'Tana stood at his spot at Cabal Cronal's round table and eyed his fellow Cabal members; Rho d'Tana, Kel Antar, and Jaing Beviin. It was this skillful team - a secret sub-group within the Dajorran Intelligence Network - that received, filtered, and planted information that was critical to Clan Arcona's success as a Dark Jedi Brotherhood Clan. They had held together well as the Cabal was breathed into existence at the same time that Orv Dessrx, Cabal Cronal's leader, was drawn away on political business.

"Gentlemen," the Teltior cleared his throat, "I welcome you all to Cabal Cronal and am pleased to serve with you in service to Clan Arcona. I expect we shall work well together to guide the flow of information in and out of Arcona with the skills we have honed in our past positions." Orv's eyes darted to Rho, "A special thanks goes to Rho for running things in my stead and being vital in the planning and formation of this sub-group."

Birth of a Battle Team

Alright fellas, we've got our own Battle Team. I urge you to come up with your own histories as to how you have become a part of Cabal Cronal as Rho and I have done.

Currently we don't have a website or forum thread just yet...but that'll come shortly. I'll be using the Site Service I have set-up to host our site similar to what I'm doing for Bas-Tyra.

A Little Bit About Me

I believe all of you are fairly acquainted with my IRC presence, but I'll give you a run-down on who I am IRL, what I do, etc. This will just be a smattering of facts with no great structure...just read through (or not) and bear with my random thoughts. For starters, I'm a programmer and database architect by trade. I dabble in drawing and graphic design. I thrive on rank/award-centric organizations like the DJB. I used to be a member of the Emperor's Hammer: Imperial Senate, I held the position of M:COMM (Minister of Communications) for a number of years which is essentially the SCL of the DJB. Near the end of my Senate career I became Chancellor and held that position until the rigors of college and marriage planning drew me away. Four years later, I'm back to Star Wars Clubbing with the DJB :D

I, like I mentioned, love ranks, structures, and award systems that are common in online clubs such as the EH and the DJB. Not necessarily because I love to get those things, but more so because of the complexity surrounding them. You see, I often find myself wanting to program stuff :D (image that) It was the Imperial Senate that really caused me to learn PHP and Database Design (it was the spark and the playground for all my programming follies and a number of my successes). Ranks, structures, and award systems are fun things to program and can really stretch one's mind.

You may be thinking, "WTF is Orv talking about programming club stuff for?" Well...um...good question. It essentially outlines my view on the club. I am active because I love putting effort into something that helps me too. The DJB is such a place. I view it as a place to build friendships, hone my programming and drawing skills, and enhance the fun of other people by doing what I love. ...it seems a bit mushy, but it's true.

Oh. Lastly...I'm back from my LOA due to my kid. My IRC for the next few weeks will be sporadic due to fending off family members and changing diapers, but I'll get back to messages in a reasonable amount of time.

Competitions

We've got some sweet competitions to keep us active and a force to be reckoned with. The goal will be for Cabal Cronal to have two concurrent competitions running at all times. With that said, I'll be starting a competition for you guys shortly in addition to Kel's. I urge you all to participate when and where you can. Participation equals prestige and promotions :D

Most people will have a general idea of how they see their character falling, so for those of you that know nows your chance to put it to paper. I'd like you to write a piece detailing when, where and how your character is killed. In the glory of battle? Assasinated from the shadows? Or do you live to a ripe old age having accomplished everything?
