Consul Report #14

Here we are at yet another superduperawesomespectacularfantastic Consul Report from none other then your favorite Clan Plagueis Consul... Aabsdu! Before you stop reading to check the lenght of this week's report, I promise that it is no where near as long as last week's, despite the fact that I enjoy writing these things. Yeah, I know, I must be high or something :P

Anyways, this past week has been more or less rather quiet. No major competitions starting since the Great Jedi War is coming up in July, and most projects are on hold for various reasons, other then the Wiki articles.

Antei Post

In the DB this past week, ACCLive was closed on regular gaming nights, most likely due to low turnouts. Also speaking of the ACC, there were some major Character Sheet changes made a few days ago, so you'll wanna check out the Combat Master's last report for that.

The Seventh Great Jedi War is also nearly completion, plot-wise, with around sixty pages of story written almost entirely by Raken. I haven't seen any of it, and from what I hear all the Consul's will see is the rules, but I'm sure it is going to be kick-ass.

Tribune for the Wiki is also open to applications, for those of you who would like to give it a shot. I'm on the Staff, so you would get to work with me winks, but it is a very cool job, since the Wiki is a very awesome thing. Besides that, having a Plagueis member as Tribune would rock.

Holonet

Not too much major Star Wars news this week, although I would like to talk about some stuff that was included in the past Star Wars Insider magazines. It is a pretty cool magazine for Star Wars news, and the May/June edition had a nice article on the upcoming Force Unleashed, I haven't had a chance to pick up the July/August issue, but it is out, at least in America.

Basically, from what news has been released, you play Vader's secret apprentice in the game, but you probably already knew that. During the game you travel to Raxus Prime, a TIE Construction Facility, Kashyyk, Felucia, and others that haven't been released yet. The big thing, though, is that while on Felucia you battle an exiled Shaak Ti and her force friends while riding on rancors. The article only had drawings, but man did they look awesome. The rest of the article was technical stuff about the game, and while interesting I won't waste time talking about it here :P

The Local Scene

Ky Terrak took hundreds of pictures when he visited Celebration IV, and is currently showing them to us all. His first group, Vader's Project, shows fans' concepts of the Vader helmet. Some of them are pretty sweet, while others are just weird. You can find them here.

Anochiir also resigned from Battleteam Leader to put more time into Clan Envoy, so that position is open to applications. And, the most important news this week, is that today at 5:37 PM EST, Clan Plagueis will officially be two years old! During those two years, we've had our ups and downs, some of us being there all the way through, but in the end I think we are at a great place right now, and I plan on using the GJW to prove to the other clans just how much a threat we are. Btw, drinks are free all day!

Other then that, things have been pretty quite, save for the projects that are still being worked on. Things will slowly slow down as we near July, and the GJW, but don't take that as an excuse to slack off in activity, there's still plenty to keep you busy.

The AWOL Check was finished earlier this week, and I believe we cut down out roster by about thirty people, so it is considerably shorter now. Still, the members that are still here are awesome, and I'm very proud to be your Consul.

The Wiki Project is probably the only big project going on right now, and is going pretty well. We've gotten a lot of articles finished, and currently have a few people helping with the rest. Still, we need volunteers! If your interested, don't hesitate to contact Scorps and I.

Baron and Al'Meda also wrote two new ACC venues for you guys to use, and I have emailed them off to Dalthid for his thoughts, but you never know when he'll get back to you.

There's a couple over projects we're working a little one right now, but not much. We are working on getting the battle teams to be more active, which falls on your guys in the end, as well as bettering our Master-Student Program, so if you have ideas contact Anochiir.

Just a reminder about all of the competitions that are still going on right now! Clan Plagueis-wise, I have three running that award you for simply earning CFs, passing SA courses, and playing ACC matches. Very simple, since not only do you get activity but you possibly get crescents as well. There are also Monthly Topics ran by the Fiction Tribune, very cool events, and then there's the Dark Voice, which awards DSSs for contributing articles (due June 11th, btw). Plus there's various small house competitions out there right now, most of which are easy mini-games.

Well, that's my report. Told you it would be a lot shorter, although I could easily make it longer, since there's a lot of stuff I didn't report on grins. Either way, in the future I'm gonna start having my reports lean more on clan news, and just feature DB and Star Wars news every now and then. Just, be active, and let's prepare for the Great Jedi War! I have a strong feeling we can get 2nd place!
